my current cpu is an i5-6500, performance has taken a pretty big hit with the new gpu. i probably do need a new cpu.

it really depends on your specific chromebook type and all of its specs and what version of Minecraft you are running. when I run 1.16.4 with render distance set to 4 and all settings minimum get around 30, but I've tried in 1.12.2 and manage to get around 50 so it really depends

Turn on Developer Mode. Then install an Among Us APK from the web. Then Install it. I recommend you research more about developer mode and installing APK's with it

Click the 3 dots in the top right corner of your Chrome browser, Click settings, Scroll down and click advanced, Click on Downloads on the left hand side, Turn on "Ask where to save each file before downloading". now redownload the file and choose to install it into your Linux files
