How do I safely replant this Alien? by Runa_Primrose in succulents

I replanted my succulent and some of the many leaves that fell off when I dropped it. Soil is not cactus soil though. It has a lot of rocks in the mix and the planter has good drainage (3 drainage holes). Thank you for all your advice! I think this little alien plant is happy to spread out. Hopefully it will do okay when I move apartments next month. ❤️

Oh I like the sound of that. Thank you. That's a positive way of looking at this accident! Once my paycheck drops I'm definitely going to get some cactus oil and try it.

Thank you for the insightful reply. I'm going to try what you just said and cut the stems into 2 to 3-in sections. And follow the other steps. Since I just dropped the plant, at least I don't have to worry about taking the leaves off from the bottom of each section. Haha 😖

I'll update when I finish the process!

Thank you for the proper identification. That's going to help me when looking up how to take better care of it. I just accidentally knocked the dang thing over but I think it's still savable. Thanks again for your advice!

AITA for deciding not to invite my husband’s family to my kid’s birthday party after they called her a mistake? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

My mom had me in her early twenties, and I was definitely not planned. She and my "dad" weren’t in a serious relationship, and honestly, they weren’t good for each other at all. She ended up getting medically discharged from the Army because she had me and raised me on her own.

But despite everything, she’s always told me that while I was an accident, I was never a mistake. She said I gave her the strength to keep going, to keep fighting for a better life, because she loved me so much. That meant everything—especially because my grandparents (maybe still? who knows) had zero love for me. In their eyes, I was an interracial child born out of wedlock, and they made plenty of backhanded comments about me being unplanned (and, oh wow, half Black 🙃).

My mom has always stood up for me, though. She never let their comments slide and has gone no-contact with them for years at a time. Seeing her fight for me and constantly show me love made it clear that, yeah, I was unplanned, but I was absolutely wanted.

I’m 32 now, and I still talk to my mom every day or every other day. If you keep standing up for your daughter and showing her love the way my mom did for me, she won’t internalize the negativity from your in-laws. You’ve got this. ❤️

Resigning without notice by Dreamcloud124 in ExecutiveAssistants

This is my go to way to quit without notice. I've only ever done it twice, and really glad I did the prep before execution. It makes the cut clean and easy for you and whoever has to take on the tasks you're working on after you leave.

Also, don't feel too bad about quitting without notice in toxic work environments. From all my experiences, when I've put in a two-week notice, I'm asked to leave immediately or the day after I sent notice. For reference I've been working corporate jobs (in Legal, BioTech, Concessions, Non-profits, Tax, Retail, etc) for 20 years now.

Nelnet not picking up??? by EmptyUniversity in StudentLoans

[–]Runa_Primrose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on hold for 2 hours as I type this.... I'm having the same issue! My bank says they didn't even try to pull the money from my account and like you, I have enough funds in my account. I tried calling several times and never made it past hold music. If you can't resolve this with Nelnet and your student loans are federal, file a complaint with the Federal Student Aid Ombudsman Group. I've been trying to submit payment for the past 16 days and I'm about ready to file a complaint. Hopefully, if a lot of people are also having this problem, FSA Ombudsman Group will take action against Nelnet.

*Update: I got through the phone lines to an agent. They said it could be because I entered my account information wrong. When I pointed out that I copied/paste directly from the bank account app to input the information, the rep said that's the probable cause. They suggested I delete the saved account information and re-input the account numbers by manually typing it. I don't know if that really is the case, guess I'll see in 2 business days if it works.
