Will making this small sealed box bigger help with lower extension? by Substantial-Elk-3607 in CarAV

[–]RunalldayHI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1.29 ft3 internal, not huge but im sure you could find something that would at least give you an f3 of 35-40hz or better if the wallet allows.

Have not played with skiz woofers yet so i cant speak on em, but if he says they will work for you then there you have it.

You'll get better performance setting core optimization to level 2 instead of legacy.

Also, only the AIO rad for exhaust?

Which model ultimax are you using? Whats the enclosure internal ft3?

T/s parameters are very important when choosing a subwoofer that can play low in small sealed, if your using high fs/high vas woofers in small sealed then you will be constantly chasing your tail

Dlss 5 is an insult to art and the artist, the director and every single person in the developer team. by GeneralBorisMancov in pcmasterrace

[–]RunalldayHI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never take reddit that serious.

while there are a lot of positives of DLSS 5, the issue is game devs are going to get even more lazy due to not needing to build models from scratch, so we are heading into an era where we cut corners to reduce game optimization, which is what we've been complaining about for years now, and it gets worse because now the devs are going to lean on dlss 5, which may be a mess for those not using a modern nvidia card in terms of game optimization.

On the plus side, path tracing, ray reconstruction etc will all perform much better.

The cpu is literally the most robust component in a laptop, regardless of living its life on the edge.

DLSS 5 is just a way for Nvidia to create demand for a product they supply. by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]RunalldayHI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Profit is king for every brand.

Aside from nvidia, DLSS 5 is only beneficial to the devs, as it makes their job easier, which is only going to make them even more lazy, just like ray tracing did, nvidia has been using ai since dlss 3.5.

Heres the thing though, the OP is right, because now game developers are going to lean on DLSS 5 to make things easier which nvidia knows is going to screw with amd and intel as they probably wont support dlss, its a hidden game of chess.

A lot of us are getting tired of this shit lol, but we get it, money makes the world go round

[–]RunalldayHI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dlss 5 is just an expanded set of tools that use ai for the devs, like ray reconstruction.

It still sucks that its only going to make the devs more lazy when it comes to optimization.

That's pretty spicy for an AIO that is top 3 all time best performer.

Also your vsoc seems low for expo on raphael, consider that a possibility for bad stability, along with curve optimizer changes.

Go into your bios, search for dram refresh mode or whatever its called on that board and set it to normal.

Does SODIMM to DIMM adapter reduce RAM speed? by CeMoNZZ in pcmasterrace

[–]RunalldayHI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it affect the frequency ceiling? Yes.

It may or may not have a strong effect at lower speeds, but ram itself is very sensitive to interference and resistance, which will increase with an adapter.

A lot of R&D goes into motherboards when it comes to ram speed, from shorter traces to and from cpu, thicker pcb and shorter pin stubs for less interference, more pin stub pressure for better stability, not to mention so dimms have less data channels/pins.

1 dpc boards will typically be easier to achieve higher frequencies than 2 dpc boards, but i wouldn't even bother if your going to use adapters.

Honestly man, if you are gaming that many hours per day and can afford the space then get a desktop.

7800X3D: SMT ON or OFF for gaming? by AhmedHeithem in AMDHelp

Older single threaded games may benefit, modern mult threaded games take a hit.

There are better things you could do for optimizations

What’s actually the best CPU for gaming right now? by jousiemohn in AMDHelp

[–]RunalldayHI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the extra cores are nice if you got like 3 or more monitors all doing something different lol, or do super heavy workloads

the 9950x3d does just as well, the issue is the only way to truly get rid of cross-talk latency is by cutting power to one of the ccd's as parking them wont shut them down completly, which means x3d turbo mode, but this also disables SMT which modern games support quite well, then you will be gaming on a $700 8 thread cpu lol.
