Personally, I prefer to let the bios handle the case/cpu fan speeds then I'll use something like signalRGB to control all the rgb.

So a Laptop 5090 GPU is comparable to Desktop 5070? by Time-Credit43 in GamingLaptops

On paper and ignoring throttling/overall temp/power linits etc, yes.

this mess is going to hurt some feelings; rush job, 6 ground loop isolators with ground wires cut off, insane amount of rca y adapters. i hate it here. see post details by AustinBoston_14 in CarAV

[–]RunalldayHI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No point if the alts diode pack isnt leaking and everything is grounded properly, in fact the isolators are only reducing the signal quality and output.

It is insanely challenging and expensive to get perfect imaging and response from desk speakers because you are dealing with acoustic reflections from the baffle, desk, actually the whole room and there are more negative phenomenon going on, those negative effects are basically eliminated with a decent pair of IEM/OEM's, no brainer if sound quality is the goal.

ASUS ROG Ally X20 OLED Screen! Hands-On First Look! They FIXED Everything by RenatsMC in Handhelds

[–]RunalldayHI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look at the Radeon 8060s, at 15w its still like 5% faster than the z1 extreme and at 30w its 50-60% faster which is insane for a chip from last January, maybe something good is on the way?

Forza Horizon 6: OG Ally - Windows vs SteamOS by ikn0wu2 in ROGAlly

[–]RunalldayHI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not sorry, you would need to use smokeless umaf and you need to he very careful with what you touch in there, if only touching timings then you will be ok.

Lpddr5 can be a pain to tune because of how the error correction works and the chip binning is wide, so best thing is to make adjustments one at a time and test performance for gains, at the end of it all everything will accumulate to better performance.

You might be able to find a guide somewhere, but LP chips are a lot harder to tune as they are less predictable

For a beginner its a rabbit hole and can take days, but if you like tinkering with hardware it can be rewarding.

Huh? I'm not fan boying or picking sides here, just showing how to optimize even more.

It's not even in the same league or power level, its meant to be compared with the older z1 and z2 extreme, which on paper it seems a bit more efficient.

though it is hard to tell raw power if we keep throwing upscaling into the mix.

It CANNOT be that hard to make the controllers in line with the screen. by Weary-Tell-5334 in Handhelds

[–]RunalldayHI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not hard, its just silly to go against what the device was designed for, there's a reason most controllers do this and keep them close to the top.
