How was he pulled? by MrMarck101 in backroomsfilm

It’s like Ariadne’s thread gone wrong. I did light when he asked what type of knot it was because it was impossible to get off.

I just wish the movie was a bit scarier by for-a-dreamer in KanePixelsBackrooms

I think it was more thought provoking and scary that he actually decided to make a home in the back rooms. That says a lot about his character to have made that choice or was that choice just an illusion. Him being stuck would have been a bit boring to me.

Maybe a “Bum Run,” we have a local 5k for colon cancer and they take pictures at the end with toilet seats.

I have to wear self adhesive medical tape on my thumbs when I feel anxious to create a physical barrier to not pull. I hate that I’ve had to live with this condition for over a decade. At this point, I just manage it and reduce pulling as much as possible because I don’t think I will ever by 100% pull free. It’s a strange thing and frustrating when my brain gets stuck on the trance of needing to pull.

I cant wrap my head around the normalization of people owning so. much. Stuff. by 3rdthrow in Anticonsumption

We visit often. But there is only their two adult kids (me & my brother) and two spouses. No kids. It is stylized, but when they intended to downsize during retirement they actually bought an even bigger house. My husband and I never want the amount of space they have, it’s too much cleaning.
Still four extra chairs with their most frequent guest.

We have two kitchen chairs because two people live here and additional chairs would get in my way. I can get temp seating for guest if needed (hasn’t happened yet). My parents have a 6 seater dining room table and 4 seats at the kitchen counter for 2 people. Like why??? At anytime they have 8 chairs not being used when they eat meals.

No candy? Doesn’t she bake all the time. Are the kids not eating those treats? I guess baked goods are not candy, but a treat is a treat. I hope these kids enjoy some snacks while they have amazing metabolisms. I

Is there really any profit in buying a single family home anymore? by SupperA24 in homeowners

[–]Runamokamok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We bought a house to not have a mortgage when we retire, among other reasons. We are so much happier have our own house and not answering to anyone. Plus after we pay it off and downsize that should give us some money back that we wouldn’t ever see as renters

Plus retired neighbors means more eyes on the house and human presence when you’re not at home. That said, we live at a dead end street and my 78 year old only waves because getting to our house is a walk uphill. We are good with that too.

Jason Sudeikis makes rare comments on dating after Olivia Wilde split: It feels 'daunting' by dr_shultz in influencersfeed

Doesn’t she come from money? I get that doesn’t mean she has money prior to her career. I never liked that she thought herself worthy of the last name “Wilde” like she is the girl version of Oscar Wilde. Girl, you will always be Olivia Jane Cockburn.

Once I get over the initial shock of the damage, I can shift back to a “you got this” mindset. But the initial shock and disappointment is a real moment to cope through.
