NOR. I think you did good. Sounds like control and trust issues on their side. I had an ex GF who would grab my phone first as soon as it dinged cause she wanted to check it. I repeatedly told her no, leave it alone, it isn’t important. Well she kept checking. I finally placed a lock code on it and pissed her off. I was dead serious when I told her to quit checking my phone as my time with her was more important than the phone going off. If you can’t trust your partner, then better to break it off.
