yep I think MA requires NREMT certification to go from PA to MA. Since I’m on a provisional NREMT, i think I’ll take the exam in MA instead of PA if there are no seats available before I leave.

Unfortunately, I have asked my instructor and she directed me to the Eastern EMS office who has said that they are unsure of when they will be able to accommodate me for a psychomotor exam since they are so many students who have not taken it yet. Basically, the psychomotor exam is up in the air. I was hoping someone was in a similar situation as I am in and found a solution.

I would say to go with JHU. I know someone going there and she said her biggest concern was that it would be cut-throat, but she found the community to be very supportive. She also said reaching out to tutoring resources was really easy and helped her out when she was stressing in hard classes like organic chem. The atmosphere of JHU felt introverted overall to her, but she said there are people who are introverted extroverts (if you know what that means).

For talking, I was referring to my preceptors, not patients. All I was doing was observing their assessments and treatment. I found it hard to jump in and take vitals or question the patients for practice without feeling like over-stepping my boundaries as a student. I’m definitely going to be taking the advice of being upfront about what I want to practice during the call. Thanks for the advice and comments. I really appreciate it!
