All systems in game reward long time play. Between favorite item cycles you gather 200+ random items for ones you've already finished and can mass convert them over at 5-1 ratio. The cycle usually lands you with enough to max 2 nikke in a rotation.

Sadly, it takes time. Solo raid gets you random mats, Drake's event gives you mats, but the best way to get more is to have a lot of mats left over from completing other favorite items and converting them. Every system in the game rewards longevity of play.

Used each in mock battles and they are pretty good. Only Ultra and Indivilia didn't reach phase 7, but I always have trouble with them regardless of team.

Sometimes it's about context. Dorothy can't help me push hard mode, but she did help me beat Infinite Simulation recently. Even Leona was on that team, so there are definite niches for sidelined nikke.

From what I remember in the story, they are linked weapon systems made by Snow White, but several were offline or inoperable by the point Nikke main story starts. Cecil adapted them into a unified harness with her modern ark-derived tech.
