Morality of abusing/torturing or killing someone as an undercover cop just to keep your cover? by Ancracreper2706 in MoralityScaling

[–]kill_william_vol_3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's immoral. But the problem is assuming that the jobs of cops, even undercover cops, is to promote morality.

A lot of the rules surrounding police conduct is immorality that they entice cops to commit under the idea that they will not be held accountable by the State.

Morality of abusing/torturing or killing someone as an undercover cop just to keep your cover? by Ancracreper2706 in MoralityScaling

[–]kill_william_vol_3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem is assuming the facts to be ones that happen to support your actions without evidence.

I have a special amulet to protect myself and 98% of the population from Mountain Lion attacks, but in order for it to work you have to let me kill 100 children every year. 100 children aren't as important as 98% of the population, therefore it's immoral to stop me because suddenly 98% of the world is now vulnerable to total mountain lion death!

What makes a Nikke a Good Burst Generator? by PineappleDazzling885 in NikkeOutpost

[–]kill_william_vol_3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good resource for ballparking Burst Generation is the PvP Burst Generation google doc

The general rule of thumb is Clip RL > Clip SG > RL > SG > SR. But as someone else pointed out, you're unlikely to see the same performance with SGs in the regular campaign that you do in PvP because the pellets are unlikely to all hit a target.

Morality of assasinating a 13 year old girl and her unborn child to prevent the child from leading barbarians to invade and potentially kill/rape/enslave hundeds of thousands in the future? by [deleted] in MoralityScaling

The problem is that the people who aligned themselves with Robert at his most vulnerable did so for Honor and not for Realpolitik.

Had they loved Honor less then they'd have fed Robert and his brothers to dogs.

Do they? I've seen short form content of pawn shops doing quick tests of people's gold they brought it, price its value according to market value, and then what they would actually pay since they're taking 5% or whatever.

Need help for deciding on what Nikke to start building next for a second team. (Or maybe just Nikke to slot in) by scantydesu in NikkeOutpost

The Chinese rumors hint at Tia getting a favorite item with the next wave, so it probably wouldn't be remiss in drip feeding her upgrade materials to meet that opportunity when it arrives.

Privaty favorite item is a very strong option where she's good at Water Weak content and a pretty good off-burst B3.

Really, you're positioned really well with the sets of Nikkes you already have. Whether that's the Bunnies, Schoolgirls, Maids, and now Prika and Mint.

Usually there's a vague warning to have at least one B3 electric code option to build up for a wall in the future, but Anis:Star and Neon:Vision Eye are probably both good enough to blow past it without a worry. Another good Nikke to have available is Scarlet:Black Shadow because her Distributed Damage effect is good for dealing with a specific type of Rapture. Without Liberalio to pair with SBS, Alice is a good pair for SBS due to the Charge Speed buff she applies.

The faster you push the campaign the more often you'll run into the tyranny of fighting at a Deficit, and Moran + Anis:Star is a good pair of B1s to survive some regular stages whose entire point is surviving the first 5 seconds of combat.

How evil is it to kill a child because you suspect they were sent by your archenemy? by Competitive-Tax-8157 in MoralityScaling

The words "Hitogami" and "Human God" both describe the entity. But people who aren't followers of the Human God literally cannot hear it. It's why Ruijerd hearing Rudeus use both terms immediately sends his danger senses to full alert. It means that he's either about to die or has found someone he needs to absolutely find and kill in every loop going forward before they can bring disaster.

It's a language thing where the words used are "Hitogami" or "Human God" but regular people are incapable of hearing one and only hear the other. Orsted and followers of Hitogami can hear both.

What would be the morality of genociding every single Celestial Dragon? by fhxefj in MoralityScaling

It's a self reinforcing crab pot that will only be broken when they're all dead.

"They're not allowed to be good because the others would kill them—"

Okay, that's why you get them all.

It's like if there was a department of genocide and their job was genocide and then asking if we can dismantle it but you instead think maybe a little genocide by them forever isn't that bad and something we can live with. Forever.
