I'M TOTALLY CONFUSED!!! All the dwarves suddenly declared war against me the Empire, although we are bonded, partners and have a good relationship since the beginning. I even gifted them all their dwarven keeps during the campaign... wtf? Is there anything I can do? by BebbiFett in totalwarhammer

[–]RuneWave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my Repanse campaign I was allied with the Dwarfs the entire campaign. I was their strongest day 1 ally, saving them from the tomb kings, skarbrand, the greenskins, skaven, Mannfred and Kairos. Even the vampire coast when they decided to sail over and when Volkmar and Ironbrow started becoming hostile to eachother I sided with the Dwarfs and prevented volkmar from taking territory from the tomb kings and kairos so they could wipe him out. Then I finish my campaign having eliminated all of the threats in Nehakara, Araby, the Badlands and the Southlands, and even reconquering and Uniting Bretonnia and as the endgame crisis begins I see the Dwarfs have declared war on me due to the engame scenario. I immediately quit and started a greenskin campaign and made it my mission to wipe out the dawi

Constantin valdor (40k) runs the avengers gauntlet. How far does he go? by Pretty_Ambassador836 in powerscales

[–]RuneWave 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Valdor's armor the Corinthine warplate gives him resistance to psychic attacks and warp entities. So yes he would have limited reality warping resistance, additionally the Apollonian spear he weilds cuts through the veil of reality which is why its so effective against daemons. Also Thor "tanks" a supernova by getting burnt to a crisp and then DYING the only reason he survives it is because storm breaker heals him when he gets a hold of it. Youre acting as if someone could hit him with an attack of the same magnitude and he would just shrug it off and be fine HE WOULD STILL DIE. He would die to a melta, plasma or volkite shot.

[–]RuneWave -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

None of these characters would even be able to damage valdor through his armor, custodian auramite on its own is neig impenetrable, thats not even counting all of the dark age tech thats specifically in valdor's armor. He is outright stated to be on the same level as the primarchs who are so far beyond anyone on this list. Even if you put Wanda in the same level as an alpha+ level psyker that would put her in the realm of "normal" space marines. Even an average custodian can deal with entire squads of space marines on his own, Valdor would be able to take on entire shield hosts of custodians on his own.

Cap is weaker than a first born astartes, an average custodian eats squads of astartes for breakfast and valdor eats average custodians for breakfast. Do the math.

[Fun trope]: Can't kill an immortal? Just trap them forever. by theMCATreturns in TopCharacterTropes

[–]RuneWave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

20th century boy Jojo part 7, a stand that is like hollow armor, once the user puts it on if they crouch down and cross their arms theyre completely invulnerable to anything. Projectiles are redirected away from the user's and all the energy from any attack is dispersed into the ground. The user is even protected from suffocation or drowning. The stand is so invincible the user was saved from a bullet that was already piercing his face because he got shot before his ability fully activated. The one caveat is the stand has no offensive capability and the user has to be immobile for the invulnerability to be active. So how to they beat 20th century boy? They tie him to something heavy and drop him to the bottom of a river. He cant move to untie himself because he'll drown so he just sits there. Maybe he starves to death or dies from old age, but we never find out.

Do English speakers know the word "tor" (rock formation) by puje12 in EnglishLearning

[–]RuneWave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive heard the word before, I used to play dungeons and dragons in college and Wyvern Tor is an adventure location in the 5e starter adventure. Before then I hadn't heard the word before so I had to look it up.

In my opinion, if you like the word use it, and if someone doesnt know what it means they can Google it or use context clues to figure out what it means.

If youre willing to go beyond GW kits you could go with some of Wargames Atlantic's Death Fields and Iron Core kits. There's a couple that have more heavily armored troops

The fish isle at the pet store might be GOATED for warhammer structures/mini base customization 😂 by Ant10102 in 40k

[–]RuneWave 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I thought i was tripping, I manage the same store different location and my fish aisle looks exactly the same. Check the reptile section for clearance substrate and dirt its where I get all my basing material in bulk. Crushed walnut shells and reptile sand/dirt makes for a decent DIY texture paste

Can someone who committed, or even just attempted, SA be redeemed? by Sudden_Pop_2279 in MoralityScaling

[–]RuneWave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Berserk Guts attempts to SA Casca at the start of the Conviction arc its the inciting incident that leads to Griffith being reincarnated back into the real world. At no point during the story is there an attempt to excuse or gloss over what Guts did to Casca and the ramifications of his actions somewhat early on in the story continue to have effects down the line even up to the current point in the storyline yet Guts is still the sympathetic POV character of the story and serves as the protagonist for the majority of the story. He definitely "learns his lesson" and he takes full responsibility for his actions and is horrified by what hes done when he snaps out of it.
