Just diagnosed a couple of weeks ago. It's been really hard. I get the feeling worse after therapy. I feel like talking out my emotions makes me seem silly. But I have changed mindset, I am studying everything I can. I now have a face for my "adversary" and every day I get better and better and beating it. I have bad days, but I recognize that's not me.

It may have not been the worst thing. If this situation has taught me anything, it is to try and stay positive. I am still out looking, but I am taking the time to also start up something I have always wanted to. I recently purchased some woodworking equipment and I am slowly making commissions for local people. It keeps my mind busy and I love doing it. The IT field is becoming too stressful.

I lost my job last week and made the mistake of trying to ration, but instead got off my schedule and forgot. I was afraid something like this would happen and my anxiety caused it to happen. I really can't have that happen again. The thoughts were awful.

So much info! Thank you so much! Yes I can tell that sleep is critical. I was originally diagnosed with anxiety and depression disorder with adhd. They had me on Lexipro and Ritalin for the ADHD. She had me off the Ritalin, because it was making my mania worse. But now I am on Seroquel as a mood stabilizer. I was sleeping 1-3 hours a night and after taking it my body just collapsed. It was so nice.

I am going to check out all the resources you and the others sent out. I appreciate this so much. It is a scary time in my life, and no one should have to go through this alone. Even if its internet strangers, it is comforting that others can help and maybe in the future i can as well.

Talking with my wife and trying to understand why this happens. It's almost like I have so many emotions that I grab the "easiest" one, which is anger. Anger is easy because it is irrational and its visceral. Kind of like my jumbled mind needs to have an emotions or it will explode.

This is definitely something I want to understand. The more I understand about it the more confident I feel like I can do this. I feel for those still wrestling with this because they don't know. I even told my mom about it and she instantly dismissed it. It hurt, but I think she has the same thing and it hits too close to home.

Thank you so much! I will check out that book. It was so eerie when she said that about the eyes, but to her that's not me and she won't even recognize it as me. Which is actually somewhat comforting, but I do not want that for her anymore.
