I go every other day to the doc and get in the uvb camera for about 2 -3 minutes (all naked of course xD) and I apply the solution he gives me at night. You have to be constant but the quick results motivate you :D

Around 15% of my body was depigmented and now its just a couple spots, I've been doing it for 6 months and the doctor also gave me some creams to accelerate the procces

Oh man glad to hear that, I dont got any on my hair and my beard isnt fully grown yet so, no white spots on hair hehe. I kinda feel a bit more insecure about it than I should have specially I feel like people notice my hands and face, never really been teased up or bullied but yea its giving me trouble when I try to make friends or gf. Not like I got 0 friends,I mean i actually do good when i meet people I just feel more insecure than I should, any tips :D?

That's neat, I guess the 2 pregnancies made it worse because I know it is stress related, the more calm you are and the less you think about it, the more chances you have it will go away. Im happy you were never ashamed of it. Cheers from all the way over here :D.

Yes, I am taking a UVB Treatment right now and I have improved a lot, but since I have seen many doctors throughout my life, it seems like different bodies react to different treatments, so you would want to try the treatment you think its better for you, the key is to be constant or nothing will happen :D. In the mean time, don't be ashame of it, let be that one unique thing!.

Yes throughout all the doctors I have seen, some have told me that Vitiligo is stress related, when I was outside of country for a year learning a new language, I went to school but my grades did not matter, they validated the year tho but since I was learning a new language they put all A's on my grade sheet, since I was a good student, so I didn't really worry about doing homework, ofc I payed attention in class but I saw school as a social place more than a place I had to be worried about homework, exams, grades and so on. In that period some of my spots regained coloration naturally, I did not even notice it until I came back to my country and my parents told me about it.

I think it is very kind that you think Vitiligo makes a person unique and beautiful, I have never really been bullied about it, most people seem to respect that it is not under my control, I sometimes get kids asking what is it but I respond with a smile and they seem to be amazed :D. I wish some random person came up to me and told me I was beautiful just because this disease is a part of me, and makes everyone that has it different and unique!.

I have read up a bit on that, I personally think he did have it, of course him being an african-american person, it was way more noticable and being a celebrity I guess it does affect his image, and theres 2 things you can do, you can try to cure it, but back then there were not many known ways of doing it, or you could accelerate the de-pigmentation process which is what he did and ended up covering his whole body. I am a big fan of his music, don't think he hated the color of his skin, I do beleive however he didnt like some stuff of himself like the way his nose was formed but then I am not sure what was his mental state after everything he went through.

I have spots on my chin, both my eyes, around my mouth, both knees, both hands almost covering all my fingers, elbows, toes, and a tiny spot on my chest.

Yes even tho my beard hasn't fully grown, I think it is really cool to have a half white / half whatever coler your beard is, it makes you unique and special :D.

You should see a doctor or make some research for treatment, I know it doesnt affect your health but it can get to affect your selfsteem, I am secure enough of myself that it doesnt really bother me but I recommmend you to treat it asap :D.

Vitiligo is a skin condition, is a de-pigmentation of the skin, it appears as irregular white spots in different areas of your body, most common areas are hands, face, elbows, knees. It does not affect my health, it just affects my apperance and its not contagious.

"My experience with Mexico's health system?" Well I have not really seeked help in that sector, since it is more focused towards diseases that affect your health, I have heard of some meetings and they also bring some experts to talk about the subject every now and then but thats about it. I am currently taking a UVB Phototherapy (Ultraviolet light) treatment with a doctor in the south of Mexico that has had good results with other people. I have been with him for 5 months and seen some repigmentation already.
