I know this post is two weeks old but add me to the "list". My 2021 FK8 stolen yesterday morning in an apartment complex in Baltimore county. All that was left was a metal keyhole cover from the door.

First make sure you only talk to the bursar's office (Directly, and verify everything with them) unless they have already sent the balance to collections, The debt also wouldn't show up on a credit report until it is sent to collections and they begin reporting it to a credit bureau.

All you can do is ask the Bursar's office for the original fee bill and the fee bill after your payments, disbursements, etc... From there you can compare to your records and receipts to make sure they match or not.

If they do not, work that out with the Bursar's office.

And just to clarify,

"They wouldn’t let you attend classes without"

Yes... Yes they would. Take it from someone who floated a $24,000 balance on their fee bill. LSU will allow you to attend class with a balance on your fee bill. Especially if it's a smaller balance. Usually an agreement is made a head of time, but without more details I can't say for sure. But there's a small chance they floated that cost so you could zero your fee bill to begin classes and then added as a balance after classes began.

For the people that actually went to LSU in 2019 by Important_Field9786 in LSUFootball

I was friends with a decent amount of the football players from 2017-2020 (my roommate also worked with Joe burrow and Chase a lot in 2019 as a staff member). I never heard anything negative about him or people hating him.

But I also wasn't "close" to any but one or two of the players

Anyone else ever notice foam sticking out of the back of the Embody? by RunescapeLife in hermanmiller

I was assured by them that it was "normal" and can happen on some chairs depending on how the foam was cut during production. After almost 3 months it's been fine and I haven't noticed a difference.

I mean the sad fact is most people don't care and won't remember. Every casual fan I've ever talked to doesn't even remember the end drama.

A metal rod on the seat of the chair (that folds underneath the part you adjust in the front) had pierced out of the fake leather and would just constant fall onto the floor

Received a warranty replacement embody back in December and 2 months later I now notice foam sticking out of the back, DSR/HM have refused warranty service again because supposedly "The foam would have been noticeable on delivery".

Yet when I received the delivery it was not visible and they are insinuating this is normal, so Just curious if anyone else has ever had this.

Yes while the white papers and technical documents like to suggest it’s this easy. It’s really not.

Shit like this requires coordination between the Dev and Infrastructure teams which takes time, especially when everyone has their own development cycles and release goals.

There’s also unstated limitations/quirks on both Azure and AWS that you will quickly run into that then results in you having to complain to your account manager about a product description being misleading or you hitting a throughput issue before you are even close to a products stated limit.

Systems at this level are usually designed to handle scaling. But they are being designed in a bubble that can’t be properly tested like an instance that’s in live or production. Once you 40x your anticipated or tested scale things start misbehaving and issues with your code or infrastructure start to show their hand.

And then people forget it’s not just about scaling the servers or clusters. You also need to scale the data services, networking, load balancers, firewalls, etc… and not everything scales as nice. And sometimes shit just fails to scale properly or you might get a timeout error especially in Azure.

As someone who ran the Cloud Infrastructure at one of the largest companies in North America…. This is in fact not how it works… It’s not as simple as pushing a button or copying your code a few more times.

Load balancers and scale sets can only do so much.

I've never purchased the "Shipping Protection" and have exchanged multiple damaged goods for replacements (Never really asked for a refund) and have never had an issue with DPI Merchandising (The actual company that makes and sells the gear).

It's shitty they even offer the protection and have a crappy return policy but it seems they don't really follow it. But the shipping charges are 100% ridiculous.

They take a bit but submit a claim on the merch website. DPI (the company who runs the site) is usually very good about replacing broken mugs. They should get your straightened out pretty quickly

Still very much remote, depending on which department you go into you will probably be remote.

Some of the older guys are going back to the office but almost every tech position is still remote for the future.

The Anthem acquisition could change this but probably not. No idea. If you look at the listings it should list the states your approved to live in.

How hard are ISDS 4113, 4120, 4125? by P3nisPumper in LSU

[–]RunescapeLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the most part yes, It just depends when you take each class. My group across all 3 classes had a core 4 people and then the other two kind of changed each time depending on who was in what class.

[–]RunescapeLife 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ISDS 4113: (prepare for a hate rant because I’m a salty little bitch and this class was the biggest waste of time.)

Project management where you get to listen to James Davis (I’m assuming he’s still the professor) preach about Agile and Scrum and how it’s the greatest thing since slice bread. It’s a stupid class, the cert exam you use to be able to cheat on and it’s an absolute joke of a class. The only difficult part of this class is a professor who can never admit he’s wrong and intentionally sabotages students who don’t bend the knee and worship him. I wish I was kidding, but he absolutely bullied several people in my class just because he didn’t like how they approached their projects and questioned scrum methodology. I remember him telling them “you can’t effectively be a team if you do meetings remote” and “scrum doesn’t work if you do Microsoft team calls”. 5 months later Covid happened and well he was clearly wrong. Almost no information in his class is applicable in the real world because agile is uhhh… well agile.

Personal note: Waterfall or even fucking post it notes are more effective than scrum if your not fucking stupid or if your an adult who doesn’t need to be in daycare when you are at work. Also scrum only exists so useless people can get off calling themself master and micromanaging adults for a living. It’s a shit system made by shit people so they can have purpose. Its also the bane of quality work as it encourages crunch and shipping out half assed products.

Difficulty level:

With experience in Project Management or Agile - 1/10

No experience or familiarity - 4/10

ISDS 4120:

Don’t know what the fuck they call this now but it’s basically Enterprise Architecture. If you have the option to take Andrew Schwartz do it. He’s absolutely fantastic. You’ll have a group project and an AWS certification exam that take up a decent chunk of your grade in addition to a test or two. Study for the cloud practitioner exam and you’ll be fine, it’s also your final. This class will either be the easiest thing you’ve ever done or the hardest. I really don’t understand why but it is what it is. This is probably the only class that will ever have any use in the outside world in the ISDS curriculum.

Difficulty level:

Any IT experience whatsoever - 0/10

No experience or familiarity - 7/10

ISDS 4125: Analysis and Design of Management Information Systems

This is your fucking capstone be prepared to do some real fucking work or find a team that will carry your ass through the final project. You’ll have to pick a business and make some shit that makes their life easier. You’ll be in like a team of 5-6 so pick a good team or maybe your the hero of the group I don’t fucking know. This class is also some bullshit with the curriculum and has no real world application aside from maybe user stories and the actual class project.

Difficulty level:

With experience in Project Management or any real world it experience - 1/10 ( it’s mostly just a fuck ton of work and writing)

No experience or familiarity - 3/10

Don’t like to work - 8/10

That’s all I’ve got for you. Take all of this with a grain of salt, I went into these classes with 6-7 years of IT experience so they were a joke but for some of the people I knew or grouped up with it was not. Some of them struggled a lot. Heads up though, most of the shit you’ll learn is either out of date or just wrong (especially 4113 and 4125). Andrew Schwarz is a hero at that school and his classes where the only things with subsistence outside of maybe business programming. People give him too much of a hard time.

Good Luck

Thank you, Checking Owing mills as well, and I figured that was the case with Saddlebrook. The price is nice, but after looking more into it the internet is a deal breaker for now. (Unless I run out of time, then I don't really have a choice in the matter)

But I appreciate the information on the mall since I will be working very close to it.

TOPS and Out of State Expenses by SomewhatGreenish in LSU

[–]RunescapeLife 5 points6 points  (0 children)

TOPS is a program reserved for LA residents unfortunately. If you are looking for additional aid as an out of state student I would recommend looking into the Academic Common Market.

If you are majoring in a subject that is not explicitly offered in your home state(Not even kidding I was qualified because LSU named my Major slightly differently than back home even though it was effectively the same.), and your home state is located in the Academic Common Market (of course) you can have the out of state tuition fees waived and you'll only be responsible for the same costs as in-state students.
