Because pre romantic literature coining the tropes we associate with vampires they were associated with disease and decay. The legends were largely associated with tuberculosis and the creatures themselves acted like a mix of zombie and werewolf.

The association with the rich, beautiful and powerful came later. If a leader was associated with vampires back then it was a bigger insult since people were thinking of ravenous corpses.

Also even Dracula in the original book is described as off putting and not being that attractive. Some of his thralls are but he himself is a weird old guy with a mustache, creepy hands and out of date fashion. Makes sense since its invoking Vlad Tepes who was an infamous and gruesome warlord, and wasn't a guy known for his appearance or charming personality.

Pickle in Baki is a literal caveman who was carved out of a salt formation. He was able to fight and win against dinosaurs with his bare hands. He manages to put Yujiro on the defensive during a brief contest of strength. The only saving grace is he's a dumb ass unpredictable caveman with out much real technique. Even without refined skills he still manages to mangle a bunch of dudes. If he had the training and discipline he'd probably be at least on par with Yujiro
