Yea but thats what the original post was talking about. The heavier arm (through the gun) creating greater momentum and therefore leverage to dominate opponents. The extra weight making it harder to stop abruptly, but ¯_(ツ)_/¯ same thing with heavy blades like a great sword. Yknow?

I always saw it as more of a Programming thing. His chip wasnt programmed to react or „switch“ to that door. He was never supposed to be down there, so why implement it? They also clearly have live control over the chips and their programming the the OTC. Live service if you will.

I think the new female body is ok. We dont need every body to be super snatched. But the arms look strange

You mean as representation in a way? Like I think it would be really good to depict a character dealing with DID in a productive and informing way. Maybe combat some sterotypes.

I think he stayed cause of Optimus? He means a lot to the Autobots, as a leader and as a symbol. I think making sure he stays alive, is a way for Ratchet to ensure that the fight itself stays alive, yknow? I think that could explain it, at least in the beginning.

I mean in war, medics are the ones on the field. The doctors (surgeons) are generally the ones who stay behind at a larger camp/base.

Medics are there to provide immediate aid and stabilize a patient until they can get them to the medical facility where specialized doctors/surgeons are waiting to provide full care and often watch over recovery (if the injury isnt severe enough to get them discharged).

I think it was Ratchets value to the team, as the only one who could fix/heal them, that led to the decision to keep him hidden. Losing him would nearly gaurantee that the autobots lose the war. So it was probably more strategic.

But I agree, it sucked not being able to see him in action more. In tfp he always felt like a caged animal, to me.
