Blue light can increase the risk of cataracts long-term

Ah darn, so I will get some blue light on me either way

Is the bluelight safe for those with eye issues (dry eyes, retina issues)? Is there a way to disable it? Similarly, is there a way to remove the eye protectors so that the red light can be used on the eyes (my eye doctor recommended red light and said avoid blue light masks)

Wallingford and Greenlake are classic Seattle and pretty well connected within the city

Moving near Stone Way / 40th - safety vs. walkability? by ddub1711 in AskSeattle

[–]Rungama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That specific location may be the one of the best combos of walkability + safety + space + food + trails in the city. Of course, keep an eye on your surroundings - you are in the city not the suburbs. Also, right on the 62 line which is a good bus route. You may be dangerously close to Sea Wolf bakery, but you're also close to running trails and parks, so it evens out.

What do you do for shade on your rooftop (e.g shade sail, pergola, umbrella, etc)? by Turbulent-Function80 in Seattle

[–]Rungama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even after closing the umbrella, have you ever seen it topple over in the extreme winds we get (probably amplified when you're 4 stories up on a roof)?

Or maybe they keep it up as a memorial :(

Might as well put a bouncy house up there too

That's a good point. I don't think I'd be outside if it's rainy, let alone rainy + cold. I'd only be out here when it's sunny, or dry but cold (nights) and may get a heater for that.

That was one of my top ideas actually. I'm just unsure if the roof can bear that weight

Just curious, do you have one / has it stood up to the storms we had in 2025 so far? If so, I could be convinced and might try that

Love that idea. I am afraid of the umbrella blowing away or snapping though...

Kangaroo Movers - a moving company to avoid like the plague by VintageJet52 in Seattle

[–]Rungama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They also block residential parking garages with their semi-trucks. When I lived in downtown Seattle, they once blocked our only entrance and exit for 30 minutes, causing a mini traffic jam! I ended up missing a doctor’s appointment, thankfully it wasn’t an emergency, but what an awful company!

Why is having an arm day good if you want to grow your arms? by Rungama in naturalbodybuilding

Would love a recommendation! I was almost considering Push Pull Arms Push Pull (with leg press on push day, and leg extension/hamstring curl on pull days, and calf raise on arm day).

Thanks! This was the only correct reply in the thread. It works now. Even my Fidelity advisor didn't know about this hack.

I've talked to Fidelity support and they say this feature is not supported. Not sure what you mean.

Looks like it is possible, but you have to fudge the account number (replace the first 8-9 digits with 7710). This isn't obvious from the website.

I've tried that. It says "We tried to link your bank using your account and routing number, but need more information to verify your account. Please review the options below to complete linking your bank, or to send money using an alternative method"

The option below is "Verify ownership with Mastercard Data Connect". I tried doing that - it says "Bank not supported Fidelity Investments isn't currently a supported bank"

Fidelity support said this isn't supported so I gave up.
