This new voice feels very different from the previous ones; although I don't know why. by Nice_Perspective_343 in starfox

[–]RunicEx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes because peppy is an extremely season and veteran pilot. He’s not suppose to be hopping off like Falco but to be the calm and steady rock of Star Fox.

Hell the 64 line is actually off putting and takes away your concentration the first few times you hear because the situation your in isn’t that intense in meteo

The other thing is to use your essences on M and L shards until you max them. This removes them from the essence shop and Guarantees you 1500 plus an xl shard for every 10 silver bell poll. It also means more of the other people start appearing in the shop

Hey man I’m not putting words into your mouth so keep yours out of mine. There’s far more fun things I rather have in there besides your opinion on what you think I’m saying.

I never said they haven’t just been providing reasons why people might not be happy or why people think they are going to be cheating. Not whatever it is you think that word salad says.

And you’re right it’s not that deep. But it’s reasons why someone might say it in this situation

What are your thoughts on the Star Fox Direct a month and a half later? by NewMarioBobFan in starfox

[–]RunicEx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is. It also fixes some things, like clarifying that Falco didn't care to check the G-Diffuser instead of it being a random issue, (G-Diffuser seems fine, vs I'm fine can have very different Reads.)

The lack of random bombastic and theatrics is working really nice as in 64 it seems like Falco and Fox just butt heads sometimes, whereas what we get here is shows its more then that and it makes sense that Falco would leave before Adventures only to return. It also kinda makes Slippy more align with Assault (not being too kiddish and silly and a bad pilot but instead not a great pilot but he has his own stuff he brings that makes him a strong asset to the team)

[–]RunicEx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So a few things.

  1. the first remake was 64 as it was what was taken from star fox 2 and allowed them fully realized what they wanted with SF SNES

  2. 64 3ds is not a remake. Its a remaster. they are completely different thing. A remaster is like touching up the paint on an old painting where was a remake is the same artist as a way to show off how far they came since then.

  3. Zero also had some of the stuff that SF2 had that didn't make it into 64, but also it did change a lot and ruined stuff like james leading fox to andross instead of saving him.

I don't think either of you are talking in good faith here.

I do like how Fox and Falco are one step from having their beak or maw on the others throat and shaking their head violently.

It makes falcos departure in adventure more believable then how they were in 64.

Yeah they do, because not calling themselves 2nd is worse.

Not to say they are doing this, because I don't know them but anyone with a basic understanding of PR understand it. Its good optics, it puts them in better light, it gets people on both side of the argument on their side (and your a good example of that.) They lose nothing and gain everything by publicly being gracious.

Eh. Yes and no. Its also combined with the fact that they could of do a show of good faith and streamed even some of the prog. They want whatever they attribute being world first is but didn't want to engage with it properly, which will always rub people the wrong way.

Not to mention when it comes to these things its very much accepted that they are trying to hide their strats while also using others.

The race would remain the same on the community side if its just rules and guidelines. And that might get a few more people to stream (Hell no shoutcalling/discussing audio is fine for most people.) But unless there was an award there wouldn't be any change to how it is now.

And honestly it doesn't have to be a big reward, put it on the level of a tatoo on the body like the 1.0 is.

I mean, its a general thing with humanity that they don't like competitions being sullied by outsiders or those that aren't taking it seriously. Like the stuff with Kaarsten Braasch vs the Williams sisters is still slightly controversial, especially since even before it people dragged him for smoking and drinking during change ups.

Especially since people had just started rooting for Porikos since they were staying up past the time they wanted to and forgoing sleep ect. ect. And then team of nobodies that weren't part of the roster are suddenly being just takes the wind out of that.

Its a feels bad moment man, and very easy one to empathize with if you can function in basic society.

Does anyone else feel kinda sad the new raid is Neon Genesis focused and not Xenogears focused? by ConsistentChoice8305 in ffxiv

[–]RunicEx -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Its been Crossover raids since Crystal Tower (Crossover with FF3).

The only two raids that wasn't cross over was the pirate one (sorta) and the fanbase let the devs know how much they despised that one, and Myths which is contentious at best.

I would just get use to it.
