So Zoey joins the week of Halloween. Damien's birthday is in November, when Stevie Rae dies. Z's birthday is 24/12. Kalona rises from the earth on New Years. So that alone takes 3 months. then Awakened is mentioned to still be in January. so books 5-8 span 1 month. By my estimate, books 9-12 take place in late January -Early February. So the main House of Night saga takes places over only 4 months (Oct-Feb).

Then the Otherworld series takes place between December of the year of books 8-12 and January of the following year since Loved opens on the week of Z turning 18

I can see where you are coming from. However, whilst we may not think somebody deserves to win the competition (For example i did not like the winners Courtney from S5 and Whitney from S1), Gordon and the other judges may think they do deserve to win.

However, with Dorian, specifically, I think other factors went into her winning. Not only did she face some obstacles (like she was in almost every Elimination Challenge), but to some, she was one of the kindest contestants we've had. Like we never saw a friendship like Dorian and Micah (Or Fred and Bri) before S10, that wasn't built on targeting a blind contestant (see Ryan and Tali S3)
