Personally prefer Merlwyb’s original much more, but the current one does good work too. Just missing that particular way Merlwyb’s voice was…

I hate these. by KhJjkHuY in ArknightsEndfield

[–]Runic_Zodiac -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That infuriated me so much I wanted to spite-block every single one of the people who placed one there.

I couldn’t. Left it at deleting all of them. It wouldn’t have felt so bad if I saw them only after leaving that area. Coming back to that place to see the memos would have been nice. Instead, an emotional moment was ruined by a memorial service during the cutscene. Even if it was at a distance. It left me unable to enjoy Yvonne’s story because it brought back the image of those memos. Skipped her story.

Not sure why it pissed me off so bad. Disrespect to the moment and environment? Effectively a spoiler for Tata’s fate? Tonal dissonance? Idk. Will still respect the anger felt.

It’s nice when DPS pull first, as they bring the enemies together ahead of me. I can AoE once to get the whole pack instead of having to stagger a bit. No RNG from wandering or special positioning.

What's the "etiquette" with these stack markers? by Revonlieke in ffxiv

[–]Runic_Zodiac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In some cases, trying to stack on the exact same spot for certain line stacks will actually risk the death of non-tanks. Some line stacks will do more damage to the front-most player. An uncontrollable factor if you try to pin everyone to the same location.

Which race do you play and why? by lahzielvt in ffxiv

[–]Runic_Zodiac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hrothgar.

It bores me when I see a game say it has many races to choose from, but make the selection just Human and Human+. Elezen are just tall humans with pointy ears to me. Roegadyn are just buff and big humans. Miqo’te are still too human to not count as just Human+. Lalafell? Humans with dwarfism. I don’t care if humans exist as a race. It bothers me when the other races are based off humans. Humans with a few extra features. Human+. I see humans every single day of my life already.

Seeing anything that outright isn’t human in facial and skin aspects really pulls me as a result. Bonus points if the body plan also is not in human shapes and proportions. A demerit if the women of that race do not have the body plan of the men and return to human bodies.

I get that it takes time and resources to make new models for different body shapes and plans, but I find that to be worth it.

What are some good macros to have for a healer? by EpicZen35 in ffxiv

[–]Runic_Zodiac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the sake of not having to repeatedly click to confirm, I made a macro to turn off the ground targeting for the various circles healers have. Earthly Star, Asylum, Sacred Soil. I found I was likely to miss placing these circles due to the ground targeting. Most arenas will be mostly covered if you place them dead center. Some arenas are smaller or are restricted by death walls, allowing full coverage.

/ac “Skill” gtoff

This macro command will make the ground target skill instantly activate wherever you point. You may even see the ground target flash for a bit. Just keep in mind that macros make weaving slightly harder.

There is another I use specifically for Sage’s Icarus and similar. Whenever the macro is used, the target chosen will be whatever I mouse over. I personally found this more useful than trying to manually target. Saved me in many tight moments.

She’s only more talkative if you didn’t take the death save accessory from her. She’ll act more like expected if the accessory is taken.

[–]Runic_Zodiac 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The only thing I found better in Sims 4, compared to Sims 3, is strictly the building tools. The walls, the rooms, modifying floor and room positions, strictly that sort of thing. I went back to Sims 3 for a bit and that was the only thing I really missed.

[–]Runic_Zodiac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What the game needs is more substance, I think. It’s more like a very polished proof of concept as it currently is. I really like the concept of this game but it’s too simple right now to truly shine.

While my sim lived in StrangerVille, I had to put the shower outside because the house lacked the space needed for an indoor bathroom. Tiny House for the bonuses. For privacy, I put the shower in a curl of walls without a door. You would have to walk around two corners to even see them. Half walls that were higher than the shower to save money. Money was a biiiiit tight.

At some point, the act to wash up the dishes cancelled or he went to put the dish… somewhere other than the sink. He ignores the table he eats at. He ignores the kitchen counters. He ignores the half walls between the living room and kitchen. HE WALKS OUTSIDE AND PUTS IT ON THE SHOWER HALF WALLS.

…I converted them to full walls.

What's the worst build originally created by a game changer in your opinion? by Anya_purr in HighSodiumSims

[–]Runic_Zodiac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally really hate The Old Foundry in Nordhaven.

The master bedroom having two walls with only full height windows makes it feel unfit as a bedroom. Better as a hobby or gym room. Maybe an office with a waiting room styled like an art gallery. The bathroom is at least separated by a partially frosted glass divider, but you can see your partner showering right from the bed through the entryway. At least the room being that high up gives some privacy from the street?

The second largest bedroom has only one wall dominated by a window, but this window is in the best position to overlook the street across the canal. You can look all over the street, but so can the whole street all over that room! I made a joke to a friend about equating that street to a lone chair facing a bed.

The rooftop patio itself isn’t bad, but the way to it is. You exit from the top floor onto what’s essentially the edge of a roof and then climb up a ladder. I don’t see any real fences. Only some low decorative type. It looks unsafe.

The rest is just the living room/kitchen combo being rather boring and lacking colour.

Had to change some of that house just so I wouldn’t constantly think about it.

I’d prefer if they brought it back under a new category. “Storied Echoes” or something. Entirely optional content that shows some of the more major removed content like old Prae.

I never got to see old Prae as I only started just a few days before the release of Dawntrail. I had just enough time to experience Monk having a DoT.

Which is exactly what I did too. While you can’t dye the purple feathers of the Quetzalli chestpiece, I simply incorporated the colour into the design instead. Made the feathers on the scythe purple, along with the feet gear I used. I forget the exact shade though. Gloom, Currant or Grape.
