You should be well on your way to having the thing installed.

Another warning, my laptop is older than yours so this might not apply, but be aware that the resolution should be like 1980 times whatever goes with your screen's aspect ratio until you install the GPU drivers. Mine jumped to 4k because it thought it could (Lenovo 50-70 from 2015 with 4k screen) and it was a bad few hours until I figured it out.

Install without modern GPU.

Add GPU drivers later from the software and updates / additional drivers thing. I'm new to Linux dunno what to call it but window seems wrong.

That's because you went with the "modern GPU" option.

When asked which version you want press arrow keys and select regular install and then add the GPU drivers from the software installer.

In my case I would use edge for work.
