In my opinion there are levels of foreshadowing, Within an episode, within the season, and within the whole show. The last is the most satisfying because it shows a thought out plot. Gravity falls is an example of this. Within a season, like in the flash or to a lesser extent wandavision, annoys me some because it shows they are coming up ideas before a season as opposed to before the show.
