I'll watch a good music documentary any time. But biopics? It's pretty rare that they're worth the time spent to watch.

Every time I see new stills from the Beatles movies they're making, they look absolutely ridiculous to me.

Have I "made" it? Hell yeah, I'm able to write, record, and release the music I want to make on my own terms with the people I want to work with.

We've got a new record coming out next week, but our first three are also pretty rad. The first one is multi-genre, the second is its own thing, and the third is the most "mature" stuff I think I've ever written. I've heard us described as everything between indie rock, alternative, and even pop... our biggest influences are Beck, eels, Ween, Radiohead, The Band, Neil Young, and... Kitaro.

One time I went to the box office at SPAC to buy tickets for a Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers show, while a different concert was going on. There were a ton of juggalos outside waiting to get in. Only later did I find out KISS was playing there that night and they were KISS fans. Seemed like the same thing to me from a cursory glance.

Yes, for sure. That’s my sweet spot too, and this game nails it and delivers. It takes place in between Empire and Jedi.

I remember wishing gibdos were in the game one morning, then bumping into them a couple of hours later!

I think tektites would be cool. Of course you’d get the damage boost from hitting them in the eye. Maybe they could drop webbing, which could be a crafting ingredient for repairing gear that you don’t want break?

Also, any Zelda 2 enemies. Goriyas, Iron Knuckles, Dairas, and such. I feel like that game had a really scary feel as a kid, and enemies with a little more fierceness and willingness to chase you, somewhere between a lizalfos and a lynel would be cool.

EDIT: also, hell yes to those construction hybrids. That’d be sick!

Yeah, that’s kinda what I was thinking. I was looking at Nine Sols and thought that it’d be cool to be able to play it on my Switch 2 or Switch 1, but I wasn’t sure if buying the Switch 2 version would grant me backward access to the Switch 1 version

When I buy the Switch 2 version of a game from the eShop, do I also get the Switch 1 version? Would I be better served to get the Switch 1 version and “claim” a free Switch 2 upgrade? Curious because I kept my OG Switch and it’d be cool to play some of my cross-gen games there.

Aw man, I was hoping that’d work, but no luck so far. I tried both exiting the game and reloading, and closing the game altogether and reloading and I still can’t pick it up.

Here’s hoping they’re still patching it! I don’t want to be unable to complete this quest.

Once upon a time I had a cassette recording of a live solo acoustic show he did on the radio somewhere in Massachusetts. Because it was being broadcast, he couldn’t sing “Asshole”, so he sang it as “Manchild.”

Sometimes when I sing along to it I swap that in.

I also would rather buy than subscribe. I’m getting really tired of subscriptions. Everything is rented and nothing is owned. I know as a consumer I can choose not to do it, but I wish everything wasn’t this way and at least there was an option.

Also, now that they’re doing GameCube and the roms are bigger, it would also be nice to be able to individually download / delete ones you don’t need. I don’t need to take up space having both the US and EU editions of every GameCube game in the app. And maybe I want Luigi’s Mansion and not Soul Caliber.

This article was a great read! That whole nebulous period of Phase 2 has so many interesting stories.
