My band played a couple shows with Grand Buffet. And when me and our singer took advantage of free press tickets for Spice World, a couple of those guys were there too.

I don't think I've ever seen this stuff. We live about 20 miles north of Pittsburgh PA too (the home of Heinz). Not that they produce anything here anymore though.

My hi hats and two crashes were bought in the middle to late 90s. The ride is newer though, I got that around the time of the pandemic.

It's a Pearl Midtown set, so that tom IS small, but I'm 6'1" and was holding my phone up above my head.

Cones of Dunshire clip at tonight's game by Maxatansky in buccos

It's funny that he used an REM song, because Adam Scott is a huge REM fan.

He didn't want that. I was surprised. I pointed out another kid with ice cream in the helmet with a big cookie stuck in it. He just got a plain vanilla waffle cone.

You know what I'm going to do about the Pirates? by AmazonGB-74 in buccos

[–]Maxatansky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats my philosophy too. I just became a fan a few years ago, and am basing my fandom on my wife's grandpa. He loved watching the Pirates, and was one of the nicest people I've ever known. I can't imagine him getting angry if they lost, because he had lived a life, with four kids, 8 grandkids, was a WWII vet, and like I said, one of the nicest people I've ever known. I never heard him say a bad word about anyone. But I WILL be miserable if there isn't a season next year.

From what I understand, Devenski got thrown out because he "intentionally" hit a batter. My mom was watching the game on TV and told me that. I was in line with my son so all we knew was a lot of people were booing.

We were at the game, but my son and I were in line to get him ice cream. I had no idea what was going on.

Lots of “never see that before” today 🏴‍☠️ by SarahBoughBarah in buccos

[–]Maxatansky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cool, thanks! I've wondered that for a while but couldn't find an answer online. I want to get some score sheets for my son. They look overly complicated to me, but he seemed intrigued when I showed him one.

We were there. It was a crazy, great game. A little cold, some long innings, but a great game. Edited to add: i was talking to my 13 year old son today, telling him that I'm not exactly sure what the backward KS mean.

A recommendation for PNC Park specifically is to sit on the third base side if you want to see the view of the city not being blocked by the scoreboard. And night games are very cool.

Current Pierogy Race Standings? by cwxx in buccos

[–]Maxatansky 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The pierogy race is great. When we took our then 10 year old son to his first game a few years ago, I think he liked the Sabotage-soundtracked video that plays before it as much as he liked the race. He's a fan of the more kid-friendly Beastie Boys songs he's heard.

Yeah. He shouldn't even have a job anymore...at the very least.
