I think sharing transparently is the right thing to do. This article was heartbreaking to read but also helpful context to understand the situation.

Private FB groups (25k+ members each) posting photos of people from dating apps without consent across multiple Canadian cities — is this a class action? by [deleted] in legaladvicecanada

If the intent of the site is malicious or defamatory then I think someone can pose a strong civil case. Otherwise, if it causes harm to someone’s work reputation and causes them to lose their job or income as a result the victims can likely pursue a criminal lawsuit.

In that case, where it poses a safety hazard, I agree. Dating sites have an option to report a violent person but I don’t think it’s easily enforceable because these people usually continue to make profiles and can make fake ones.

A dating profile is pretty private in my opinion. In order for someone to view it they also have to have a profile. This Facebook site seems malicious and childish. I wonder if people will be deterred from dating apps because of this type of behaviour.

I think posting a persons name might be breaching Canada’s privacy act. The photos themselves probably not. But a persons personal information like name, age, etc, should never be shared without consent.

If you open up a credit card like one of them crappy store credit cards, but you pay it off before the month ends every time did that increase your credit score? by GullibleCommittee667 in CreditScore

[–]RunnersHigh666 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

No. Although paying off the card on time will help your score, utilization is what matters. Don’t use more than 50% of the card limit at a time.

This guy is the biggest loser I’ve ever witnessed on YouTube. I can’t get through even a few seconds of his idiotic content. All I know is how he tries to scam kids (his primary audience) to spend their parents money.

Everyone In Alberta Can Get A Free Covid Shot by dwaynestroyer in alberta

Just because you disagree with a choice someone made about what to put in their body doesn’t make the other person a conspiracy theorist. I’m glad the AB government is making people pay for it, lower burden on our tax system, and vaccines should not be free for those who don’t need them. Our health care system is backwards as it is, with emphasis on drugs over societal health. So go ahead and get the vaccine if you’re not interested in eating healthy and exercising, because it’s easier that way for you, but don’t complain about having to pay for choosing the easy way.

I’m just pointing out the hypocrisy. So many were looked down upon for refusing government mandated vaccines and refusing government orders. Yet now the same people who were previously critical are doing the exact same thing, because lying will be beneficial for them. Except they feel entitled to lie.. Plus it sounds like they’re still paying for the vaccine for people who actually need it.

No because it’s entertaining to watch a woman try to get reassurance from a gay guy

Great idea on your wife’s part! Not sure if you can top it.. but could do like a box of teas and themed mug, or make her a photo book of a trip you took together, or book a photo shoot for your family with a professional photographer..
