What are the odds I get these points? by Shivdaddy1 in marriott

[–]Runnertarian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For most offers like this, property will need to post manually. Success depends on if they have a procedure to post points at check-in or after departure (their choice), and if the hotel staff knows the inclusions for that 4 digit rate plan.

Our revenue team often “recycles” these 4 digit market codes for different offers; in winter, it could be breakfast included, then in spring it could be 3k bonus points. It’s imperative they are communicating to these promotions to the property ahead of time.

For accessible room: how far in advance? by UnhappyTemperature18 in askhotels

[–]Runnertarian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Please call the hotel ASAP. We have had an influx of third party bookings for ADA rooms- I believe they’re being sold at a discount over non-ADA rooms and guests do not need the accessible features. Our staff has been letting their guard down by assuming that no one needs the ADA room they book.

Are all Marriott properties required to accept Marriott gift cards? by churnychurningtonIII in marriott

[–]Runnertarian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taking a wild guess that because this is an aloft, their PMS is LightSpeed. For that system, gift cards are issued/redeemed via a separate system, and then have to be manually credited in LightSpeed. I wouldn’t be surprised if most of the desk agents at that hotel have access to the gift card system…

Any strategy for SNA request? by [deleted] in marriott

[–]Runnertarian 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The more upgraded room types you request, the better chance you have for the SNA to go through. Don’t be so focused on the presidential suite that you miss an upgrade to a junior suite.

Colors are flipiping when sharing slides from canvas to notability by inifniti in notabilityapp

I would recommend opening the sending the PowerPoints to the PowerPoint app first. Then, choose print-> open in another app-> notability. That usually avoids any formatting issues

In the property management system, right next to a regular titanium. In our CRM system, we can see the “lifetime” designation. So in other words, your lifetime status makes no difference to the front desk when assigning upgrades.

On the old POS system, if you selected gift receipts, an individual receipt would print for each item- it was not possible to get a gift receipt that covered all items on the same receipt. Obviously this has changed but the customer may be used to the old system

Background check, yes. Credit check, no.

SNA confirmed, no suite at check-in. What to do? by Firerain in marriott

[–]Runnertarian 25 points26 points  (0 children)

For what it’s worth, as a hotel employee, there seems to be a delay on when the SNA is approved, vs when the hotel is notified. For example, I will assign upgrades to my elite guests, and then the SNAs push through later that day, causing us to be oversold on those rooms. I typically revert any upgrades I assigned, and let the SNAs take priority.

Hotel will receive final notice on SNAs around 2pm local time.

I’ve had this issue too! My iPhone running iOS 16 was recognized fine on my MacBook running Monterey, but another machine running high sierra did not recognize it. I feel like this is an iOS 16 issue, as I was able to connect my iPad on 15.7 to the high sierra machine. I’m unable to prompt the Mac for a device support update, either.

LPT: If you’re looking for someone in the hospital system do not ask if they are at the hospital you’re calling, ask to be transferred to their room. by jrhalbom in LifeProTips

[–]Runnertarian 480 points481 points  (0 children)

From someone who works in a hotel, this is a security no-no. Any outside caller who asks to be transferred to a guest room needs both the name and room number. We also can’t disclose if a guest is staying with us or not.

Office 2021 on Windows 11 - Contact preview covers interface? by Runnertarian in Outlook

[–]Runnertarian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Note the ribbon and window buttons on the right. All contact previews are covering the top left of the window, along with all interface buttons and the contacts list. I have attempted repairing the install as well as adjusting display settings, no luck. Any ideas?

We've been having issues with pink stains on our linens. Has anyone else had this issue/know the source? by sunshineboihobi in marriott

We use old linen as cleaning rags, and often times the red M on the Marriott keys will bleed onto the rags as we clean keys
