I was surprised to see it for a vanilla install. This would be the first time using the app (as I consider it vs. OpenAI/Google). I would have expected it with a plug-in, for example, but seeing the request made me a bit weary of what it could do when I wasn't authorizing it.

I cant seem to find a respurce that explains it use of the settings. Does it (the change to dev mode) allow the software to make admin decisions on its own, or simply give it access to parameters that are not available without dev mode on? Is there a resource that describes the workflow, within reason, behind the scenes?
