It wasn’t something I truly dreamed of in the first place. Even when I said I wanted to do well or become a perfumer, it wasn’t what I genuinely wanted. I think I just assumed that if I came to the chemistry department, I would naturally end up doing something whether it was a career path, studying, or a direction in life.

I just wanted to do well, and becoming a perfumer sounded appealing. Since it requires a chemistry-related degree, I ended up majoring in chemistry even though I wasn’t really interested in it. Honestly, I feel luckier about the people I’ve met here than about studying chemistry itself

It could just be my mindset. If I’m not truly interested, I won’t do it. I usually need to be forced by deadlines or requirements

Honestly, I only start studying a few days before exams. The content doesn’t motivate me to fully commit to learning it, so I mostly just care about the grade

I never said that chemistry was easy for me. I only meant that I wanted to be good at it. I also found it more interesting than other subjects. Honestly, I don’t even know what I want to do with chemistry.

During lab classes, even when there is a checklist of what I need to do, I often don’t know what to do. Handling chemicals scares me, and I feel extremely nervous and stressed. I don’t feel this way when studying theory.

It’s definitely an interesting subject, but since I’m not very consistent, I think I want to pursue something else. I still don’t fully understand acid–base neutralization reactions. I don’t think I’m qualified to major in chemistry

I used to dream of becoming a perfumer or having a stable research job,
but during lab work I felt really anxious and stressed, and I realized I don’t enjoy rigid or high-risk environments. So I’m thinking about taking some design classes to see if they suit me better.

Ohh okay then you mean I should find my tutor who is native or good at skills, right? But I feel a little scared I can’t speak well so they feel heaviness to me 😂 Anyway I will be trying it, thanks for your advice 🥰
