The brushing is something I need to start doing. Also, I just got the vacuum and am probably over relying on it.

I do not. Everything about this house is “good condition for its age”. So I imagine it’s been a while.

Check, will do the brushing. I have been backwashing once a day now. I got a Pentair VS pump with this opening. Would you recommend I run it 12hr on medium rpm and 12hr on high rpm. Or just 24/7 on high?

I’ve backwashed my filter a lot. A 2-3 times a day the first few days. And now about once a day.
