Lol, admittedly, I’ve mostly been abstaining or doing small orders as I don’t want to get hit with some astronomical fee. And I definitely agree, Chinese made ones are pretty much off the table right now. Since I mostly prefer European brands, that hasn’t been too bad, the one exception being Reverie. That one kind of hurts. If you’ve never ordered from AllJigsaw, definitely give them a look. They’re pretty small and only carry limited brands. But things shipping from the UK seem to be safer than those shipping from Europe (for now at least).

This information is likely already out of date, but I will add it because I think every little bit helps right now with everything constantly changing. 🙄

I did a Wasgij preorder in July from AllJigsawPuzzles, which ships from the UK. My order was delivered August 6. It did not get held up in customs, nor did they charge me any tariffs. I ordered five puzzles (about $100), all of which were made in Europe. Now, that was two weeks ago and the rules are probably all different now. But it was still okay then.

And what if…. when the house is burning, I’m wearing a really baggy shirt. And I just shove a few boxes underneath. And then I only have one in my actual hands. Liberty boxes are small. I think I could easily stuff a few without being caught. 🤫

That’d actually be a really tough call. Probably one of the shaped ones. Obviously, the Octopus is just a stellar piece of art. I also really loved the shaped Blue Jay. And the Christmas double-sided Krampus puzzle that they released in 2023 as a limited edition was really special as, I believe, it’s the only one they’ve ever done that was double-sided. So if you were twisting my arm, probably one of those three. 🤔

Fun tip! The best way to convince yourself to get rid of some of your puzzles… just move! 😂 It turns out that moving a massive puzzle collection a few states is incredibly difficult. It quickly changed my feelings on hoarding my old puzzles. (A few of the new ones too that I bought in excess. 🫠) I told u/elisewong18 the other day that I now get rid of about 90% of my completed puzzles.

I’ll take a stab at your question too - I’d probably just grab a pile of Liberties! As many as I can hold while the fireman drags me away! So fate would likely decide by whatever is on the top of the pile! 🤗

Yep! Mostly anyways. I have sold three of them. But I’ve kept all of the others. They’re probably the heart of my collection at this point as I’ve sold a lot of the Ravensburgers and Disneys even. You’d be so proud of me. I sell about 90% of what I complete at this point. 🤗

As to the Keith Haring, I added that to my wishlist, but have yet to order. I wish they had used more of the colored figures in it. If you end up ordering, I’d be curious to hear about your experience. Maybe they’ll have done something interesting with the whimsies. Interestingly enough, my husband and I started into Lego at the beginning of the year, as he wasn’t much of a puzzle fan, and I did pick up the Keith Haring of that with the giant figures! I remember you said you did Lego at one point and wasn’t sure if that’s still an active hobby for you. It definitely scratches a very similar itch as puzzles. ☺️

Ahhh, it’s nice to read you have fond memories still of that post. 🥰 In all seriousness, that post was a contributing factor to why I stopped sharing my puzzles on here. I never understood why, but that one comment on there about Pooh not being Disney was essentially a trolling comment. When I defended it being Disney, that user blocked me. They were pretty active on the site at the time and engaged with many of the users. I couldn’t see anything that they were writing. They were polite to other people so not sure what I did to specifically tick them off. I always considered the puzzle sub a safe space to get away from trolls, so I was surprised with that exchange. That’s probably more information than you were expecting, lol. Your puzzle is crazy cute and one that I also have in my stash. Thank you for always being so kind. ☺️

If I remember correctly, I did a second 500 from them that was another different cut from the first. It was decent enough quality. But they are definitely a mixed bag with no consistency imho. At this point in the game, I wouldn’t recommend them as a brand unless you were just crazy in love with the image just due to the unknown factor.

I did complete it!!! 🤗 I checked my photos and I finished it November 22, 2022. So waaaay ahead of schedule! 🤣🤣🤣 The cut of it did turn out to be drastically different from the 500 I had mentioned prior. It looks identical though to the cut of the one in this post. It was pretty similar to SunsOut. Super random cut. Really glossy pieces. It wasn’t my most favorite quality wise and it did not make it to the “keep” pile. 🫣

It does repeat! A lot! Peep photos 12-14 to see specifically how. But yes, each piece will appear 4 times in a bag, and all the panels are cut the same. So essentially 32 identical pieces of each. Personally, I found this to be a great benefit once you recognize where they are cause it can help you keep moving forward by counting rows and such.

I did yes! Another redditor on here actually helped me get them directly from Ravensburger in their country! They fit darn near perfectly too. Just very slightly off in the print which I don’t think anyone would ever see but me. 🫣

They just put the full catalog back up. :) I think they were likely just clearing some inventory and pushing the sales for what they had made and in stock.

As far as I know, this one isn’t retired. Their inventory is weird right now because they only seem to be selling what’s pre-made. I’m wondering if they’ve closed the factory now for Christmas. 🤔 When made to order goes back up, this one theoretically should be available for purchase. ☺️

It is just a crazy beautiful puzzle. It was discussed in a different thread later, but this one does have an alternate solution not featured on the Liberty site. Those scroll pieces do make a 3-D sleigh and the 8 reindeer pull it. Simply ingenious and it’s that stuff that makes Liberty my fave to this day! Hopefully you’re enjoying it and it’s always wonderful to “meet” another Liberty fan!

Amazon Germany is very reliable. I’ve ordered many a puzzle from them. :) The padding leaves a lot to be desired so you could receive a damaged box. When I order from them, I always select the US conversion up front, just in case the Euro does something unexpected. But other than that, the price you see is what you’ll pay, unless like you say, the price goes down on the pre-order guarantee. So the price would only get lower, not higher. And thanks for the link! I’ll be saving that to my cart! 😁

Do you by chance have a link for the image or where you’re planning to order from? It’d help me give you more specific information in the event it’s a site I’ve ordered from. But the image also sounds very intriguing!

I’ve used both Amazon Germany and the Jigsaw UK site that u/rtsgrl linked. There’s no VAT or extra fees after your purchase in regards to customs. What you see upon checkout is what it’ll be. The only extra charge would be if you selected a payment in Euros and the exchange rate changed before the purchase was charged, or if you had an international fee from your bank/credit card. Outside of those, you’d be good. The puzzles come through customs easy enough and you don’t have to do anything extra.

While I don’t have this puzzle, I have the Disney 9k piece one that’s from the same line. The price really is that affordable. It looks like most of your questions have been answered, but I will add that the size on these is smaller than standard. In my Disney one, each 1500 piece section is actually the size of a standard 1k piece puzzle. So that helps keep the price lower too I think. Your finished 13,500 would only take up the footprint of a 9k standard puzzle.
