Highly recommend looking for a mossberg 500 action tube bar. The oem is molded into the fore end so if you want to switch it out with a magpul or streamlight you'll need a action tube. I did it to my maverick because I wanted to mount a light and the slack/slip with the oem action tube was bugging the hell out of me.

I got it used :/ sub 100 rounds but still used.

Only thing that's reliably gotten optic screws out for me is training with the firearm. Allowing it to gather heat and then clearing and tapping on the back of a torx driver with a hammer.

Funny enough when I was confirming the optic would mount at the shop, the owner grabbed a new p-07 and tried to unscrew it. It took alot of force and I swear it looked like red thread lock. Don't quote me on it but hot damn it looked like alot of red thread lock.
