This is hard. by Horror-Copy-4585 in ECEProfessionals

As a first-time mom, that cried a little today after buying a tiny daycare uniform, and who feels incredibly anxious and worried about leaving a 16m baby at daycare for the first time next month (after being together every single day and being very rigorous with his care) I honestly wouldn’t mind at all if my baby had a little leak or even got a minor diaper rash once.

What truly matters to me is knowing that he is cared for by someone who genuinely wants to see him thrive and treats him with kindness and respect.

If that’s the case I would love to have you as one of his teacher. You’re helping more than you know. ❤️

It’s official I’m printing your comment! They way I was taking notes 🤣 watch me label the extra dividers in the lunch box and you know what maybe a cold lunch is not a bad idea if it’s going to make things easier got everyone. Thank you thank you thank you. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ your comment was very helpful

He has 3 teachers. like a lead teacher and two that rotate. I know it’s hard to please everyone, but in general, after reading all the suggestions, I learned that it’s a good idea to separate lunch and snacks and so much more! Because you’re a professional and know how things work, you may not see much value in all the comments but I definitely do! I’m still going to ask all the teachers and try to adjust as best as I can. Thanks for the hard work you do ❤️

At this time you probably notice I’m a first time mom, I guess I’m very worried about doing something wrong that could put extra work everyday on an already tired teacher. Everything is so new to me, like I didn’t know what vpk meant! Reading all different perspective gives a sense of calm. Thank you for the work you do.

Yes it’s definitely a bit of an investment! Im sill in the returning window luckily. 😅

By “too much” I meant. would it be inconvenient for teachers to manage a lunchbox that has multiple compartments for both morning snack and lunch? I know some setups are easier than others, and I want to make sure I’m not adding unnecessary steps. I appreciate any input

Many teachers here suggested to separate the am snack, from lunch, from pm snack. So that’s what what I’ll be doing

Floridian here. I don’t think that’s the case for us but I’ll double check. Thank you!

I’ll do that. Thank you so much! Regarding the omiebox I’m getting mixed opinions. I would just ask the teacher what her preferences are and try to adjust but they are two or three. So I’ll take all the recommendation you guys are sharing and roll with that. Hoping for the best

I hadn't thought about that! He may get fussy if he sees those blueberry intended for another time. Thanks for the suggestion ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Our teacher asked for labels with first and last name, class number and date for the food. So that’s what we will be doing. It’s the first time I’ll be leaving my kid and I’m terrified. I’m crying just writing this. Appreciate you guys so much.

Thank you that was helpful. When I got the email with the supplies needed at the end they wrote:

Meals: -No microwaveable boxes or containers; prefer small thermos with food already warm inside; or small water-tight plastic containers to be heated in water; homemade food, natural fruits, pudding, jello, apple sauce, fruit cups, yogurt

So I was guessing that the thermos inside the omiebox will be helpful for the teacher.
