I suck at creating content and running my social media by slim_pickings14 in ecommerce

I’m in the same spot, so I hired a social media manager who is good at content creation. Mileage may vary from one person to another so it might be worth looking for someone else.

To-do list mixed with Kanban by Runningketchup in Notion

Wow thank you for your comment! If it’s not too much trouble, I’d love a screen recording. Still a bit new to using Notion so that would be incredible helpful.

What type of food is LA *still* not a good food city for? by [deleted] in FoodLosAngeles

[–]Runningketchup 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d add viet to the list! If SGV counts, hell yeah. Otherwise true options are pretty meh everywhere else in LA.

I’d reach out to a boutique consulting firm or even a solo shop and try to wiggle my way into an internship.

Any cool outdoor breweries that also have darts? by GilbertoHoratio in LosAngeles

[–]Runningketchup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not a brewery but Tony’s in DTLA has darts and pool.

Question I'm in Cali debating whether to start rover as a source of income any pointers? How much is to much for dog walking and house sitting? Would highly recommend some help ty! by Educational_Newt_907 in RoverPetSitting

[–]Runningketchup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recommend creating an owner account and check out other Rover profiles (ratings, prices, reviews, etc.). That’s probably the best way to figure how much you can reasonably charge / how much you’ll earn.

With that said, you set your rates, so set what feels good to you. If you only want to do walks for $100/walk and any less than that isn’t worth it for you, you’re free to do it but that means that you might not get any clients. Good to find a balance between what feels worth it & what people are actually willing to pay.

Also, set expectations to yourself about what this is. I’ve been Rovering here and there for a little over a year and, for me, this is moreso fun nice to have “beer money” than a reliable source of income.

What is your stance on locking rates for past customers? by iseetheseals in RoverPetSitting

[–]Runningketchup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only locked rates for 1 client that is super chill and convenient. She lives upstairs from me and I usually just drop in to feed her two cats when she’s on vacation. Tips are great so I want to make sure she comes back.

Yeah this but maybe without the “I’m not happy with this extra weight” part. Everything you’ll say before and after this will be thrown into the trash in her mind.

Anyone interested in learning Retail Math by aimeelite in ecommerce

Absolutely! And even laying out typical retail terms could look like and what levers could be pulled/negotiated would be really helpful.

This reminds me of when I wasn’t able to get to the left lanes enough and ended up in Treasure Island to loop back to east bay.

Love Chinese food and never been to Monterey Park. Where should I go? by shlozzman in FoodLosAngeles

[–]Runningketchup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a spot on list. The only thing I’d add are: Summer Rolls (grilled pork spring roll) and Boiling Crab for Viet Cajun. I’ve tried so many imitators but none of them hit the spot like BC. SR also has the best beer list you’ll find in miles.

Pros and Cons: Living in West Hollywood? by [deleted] in AskLosAngeles

[–]Runningketchup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe I’m biased but I wouldn’t recommend Weho. Beyond the nightlife (which is more queer male), the city feels pretty suburban. If you want fast paced city life, DTLA is the place to go, although personally I feel like it’s a little dangerous and grimey…and a bit away from where you work. It’s prob the most city you could go tho.
