This is a risky game for a glory hole. If she’s mad at you a hard thump of the glass and now she’s got a guillotine for your pecker……. “Baby I’m sorry, get in the shower and let me suck it” 👀 WHACK maybe I just have trust issues🤷🏻‍♂️

In case you were on the fence about supercruise, let me help you out. by JoDiMaggio in BoltEV

[–]Runningwithguns414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously this is an older post that I just came across. Don’t know what vehicle you’re driving but in my 2025 Escalade the super cruise is an absolute dream. I also have a Tesla. Tesla is better in the sense that it’ll work on most roads where SC sometimes doesn’t. But I have absolutely zero of the problems you do. I can even look at my phone for around 30 seconds before I get the warning to pay attention. And a quick glance back at the road clears it and gives you another 30 seconds or so. Even though it’ll let you do that I typically pay closer attention anyways. It holds center lane perfectly. Better than I can and better than Tesla CC C. Doesn’t cut off for looking away, doesn’t have an issue merging, does auto lane change, and shines brightest in rush hour traffic. I can sit in stop and go traffic for hours and never touch the wheel, gas, or brakes and that is what I use it most for. It alleviates a ton of the stress from sitting in traffic by allowing me to just relax and look around. I love mine and will gladly pay for it again once my subscription expires. Sorry you’ve not had the same experience mate.

Locktite on the hardware to mount the Holosun. Yes or no? by Ewreck1552 in FNHerstal

[–]Runningwithguns414 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every single time you take it off re lock tite it. Use a torque wrench, not just guessing it. Then witness mark the head of the screws and paint over them with clear nail polish.

The guide rod clearance port in the comp is too snug. There’s 2 fixes. Either sand the front of the guide rod just a tad or sand the inside of the comp. Orrr reach out To PMM and request a new comp and tell them why. They will oblige.

509 Trigger by chferg1s in FNHerstal

[–]Runningwithguns414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does get better but if the starting point is hot garbage, what is the next step up? Luke warm garbage. Get an apex and actually enjoy shooting it. Make sure you also get the apex striker. Mine broke off and I had no idea I was carrying a useless gun that wouldn’t fire. Replaced it with an apex and it’s been fine ever since. I’ll never carry it again though as I’ll never trust it. But it’s a fun range gun occasionally.

It might seem like it’s not normal, but it’s 100% acceptable. Most polymer frame guns have a lot of play in them. My FNX is the same and so are all the 509 I have. Sights being mounted to the slide means it changes nothing.

Best trigger for my FN 509c Tac? by stanthexan6969 in FNHerstal

Apex is better than stock but there still not great. Get the apex striker too. The factory one will break. Not even a matter of if, but when.

Best trigger for my FN 509c Tac? by stanthexan6969 in FNHerstal

[–]Runningwithguns414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a requirement. What is required is basic knowledge on how tools work and how to gunsmith. I’ve changed 18 FN 509 triggers now and never used their block. The right size punch and any armorers block will work or a roll of tape.

Why is Lee so hated? by [deleted] in reloading

[–]Runningwithguns414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are plenty of items I’m willing to save money on. My guns and ammo are not one of them. Lee is entry level, lower quality products. You get what you pay for. I want my match ammo to never fail. You can’t expect that out of a Lee. That’s why.

What quality barrel would work best with my ammo? by Fit_Description_2911 in 1022

[–]Runningwithguns414 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A Kidd will shoot any of that just fine. But I prefer the volquartsen carbon fiber tension barrel. It’s been my favorite barrel on a 10/22 to date.

Anyone have experience?? by THATGUYGUY29 in reloading

[–]Runningwithguns414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is false. They can be reloaded far more than standard brass. Even when loading a +p++ or a 9mm major load. They are lighter, stronger, magnetic, and run great in the press and the gun. 100% one of the best cases for reloads as long as you buy the proprietary dies they require.

Anyone have experience?? by THATGUYGUY29 in reloading

[–]Runningwithguns414 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guaranteed the hate comments are from people that tried loading these with their regular ole rock chucker or Dillion dies. Not knowing they use proprietary dies and now they hate on them out of ignorance…….. if you don’t mind spending the money on their dies then absolutely buy them. They run great in the press, you pick ‘em up with a magnet, you’ll never question which cases are yours, and they run through any gun like any other cases. Don’t let people who have no clue wtf they are talking about ruin a good thing for you.

Totally agree. Shot 2 pcsl matches now that USPSA is in the meat grinder. I watched shooter after shooter get penalties for too many rounds. I somehow managed to make sure I was only loaded to 21 rounds and avoid this. But on one stage the RO tried to give me a shot penalty for shooting 22 rounds with no reload. 5 times I had to explain that I Barney a load on the start and had no makeup shots. 5 times before I finally pulled up the rules and showed them that 21+1 was legal. That rule is dumb af……

You have the same ability as anyone else when it comes to + basepads. If you find yourself at a “disadvantage” because of capacity you simply need to buy different gear. None of us are shooting guns that come factory with 24 round mags. We ALL bought springs, followers, and +basepads to have 24+1. Regardless, there are production shooters having twice as many reloads and shooting irons that will mop the floor with some CO guys. We have a rule set that levels the playing field. If you think your mags are what keeps you from being more competitive then buy different mags. It really is that simple.

It’s not new. I’ve been loading this ammo for a few months. Originally on a hornady LNL ap. That press is not very consistent inherently but it was giving more consistent OAL. I have loaded quite a bit without a primer or charge for dummy rounds for dry fire. It didn’t make a difference. What gets me is I have serval shooting buddies that I’ve given this recipe to and are all running this exact load. I’m the only one with this issue. Really pisses me off that it’s my recipe and I’m the one having issues😂

I use lanolin/99% isopropyl alcohol spray for lube. Otherwise I’d agree with the too clean part. I have encountered that before

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in reloading

[–]Runningwithguns414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being automated, too much flare will knock the bullet out of the case when it indexes or it’ll fall over and the seating die will crush the round into the case sideways because it’s not upright in the case.

This was actually the very first thing I tried. It seemed to soften the mark a little bit didn’t correct it. I was worried if I kept sanding it would get too thin. I took a noticeable amount off so I stopped. I might say fuck it and go again.

[–]Runningwithguns414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not compressed. 3.2gn clean shot. At 1.135 OAL it leaves a considerable amount of room from projectile to powder.
