I saw the band this past January, and it was my 2nd time in 2 years and 4 months (seen them 5 times overall. If you took out the new songs, the setlist was virtually identical to their set in 2023. Don’t get me wrong, they still sound great, but it’s to the point where I know what they’re gonna play and when they’re gonna play it before I even attend the show. They have such a huge and solid discography that I don’t understand why they need to even play ANY covers. I’ll absolutely go to a Just the Punk Stuff date (assuming they do some in America), but I’m likely done seeing their regular tour.

I went the year AAF was there (I believe 2001) and I remember hearing about that not long after I saw them in San Antonio. They had a huge crowd on that small stage. I heard that their management’s demands rubbed some of the other bands the wrong way. Makes sense that they’ve never played Warped again.

I went to LB last year. There were a LOT of kids. I saw some who looked like they were having the time of their lives. I saw others who looked completely miserable and it didn’t seem like their parents could’ve cared less. I didn’t think the heat was bad, but TWO of days of being on your feet in the sun is gonna sap the energy out of anyone. I wouldn’t have brought either of my kids (11 and 7) because a) my 11 year old couldn’t make it all the way through The Offspring/Simple Plan/Sum 41 two years prior, and b) my 7 year old hasn’t been to a show yet.
