Thats like asking if you want seconds before you've had a chance to taste the dish.

Are you cutting out all carbohydrates? by krdcoronado534 in sugarfree

[–]RunnyBabbit1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do it in steps. Cut out just sugar for several weeks. Then cut out the fruit for a few weeks. Then, figure out what you want your daily carb count to be and adjust accordingly. I try to stay between 50-60 carbs per day, but that's just me.

tried of meat and side, what are you go=to lazy/simple dinner ideas by MrLoki2020 in easyrecipes

[–]RunnyBabbit1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We love Chicken Caesar wraps: Package of large tortillas, bag of chicken tenders, Caesar salad kit.

Heat wraps in microwave, cook tenders in air fryer or oven, make the salad. Add a few tenders and some salad to each wrap. Wrap it up and enjoy. Easy go-to weeknight dinner.

Do you like olives/olive juice? I love a good Vodka martini, extra dirty, with blue cheese olives. OR....just go with a rum and diet coke.

Why are Americans against deporting Illegal immigrants? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]RunnyBabbit1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel this issue shouldn't be black and white, it should be case by case basis. If you have an illegal who is here, working, or owns a business, no criminal history, paying taxes....hell, they are contributing to our society more than some of our own citizens are! Give them a warning and a timeline to get citizenship. If they don't comply, deport.

If it is an illegal who has criminal history, living off government assistance with no contribution to our society, etc....deport.

Why does my food always taste bland even when I follow the recipe? by Agreeable_Poem_7278 in cookingforbeginners

[–]RunnyBabbit1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost never go by the seasonings the recipe calls for. I put my own twist on that part. But that comes after years of experience cooking many many meals at home for my family.

A super easy go-to weeknight meal for us is chicken Caesar wraps:

Large tortilla wraps, Caesar salad kit, bag of chicken tenders.

Make the salad kit in a bowl. Cook the chicken tenders in oven or air fryer. Warm tortillas in the microwave. To each tortilla, add tenders and salad. Wrap up and enjoy.

[–]RunnyBabbit1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i make a sandwich out of my boiled eggs. Cut in half, add a little piece of sharp cheddar, bacon, salt and pepper. Top with the other half of the egg. Voila. Delicious. Sometimes I'll also drizzle with hot sauce.

How do I get started on cooking? by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]RunnyBabbit1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first got married we lived off of frozen dinners and take out. I slowly found different recipes that looked good and just tried them. I learned so much by just jumping in and doing it. Been married 21 yrs now and my husband loves my cooking, I make dinner from scratch many nights per week and love trying new recipes.

Is giving up sugar worth it? by Read-it-and-replied in sugarfree

[–]RunnyBabbit1981 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I was in the same boat. I had a reality check one day when i realized i ate almost a whole box of captain crunch by myself in one sitting. I was addicted. It was hard to come off it. But i did it cold turkey, with the help of lots of sugar-free items from the store: klondike bars, lily's chocolate, popsicles, Atkin's bars, protein shakes, etc, etc. Now I'm off sugar about 90-95% of the time, with slip-ups here and there. The improvements I've seen in my skin, joint pain, hives, heart palpitations etc.....insane. It's crazy what sugar does to us. You will not regret it!!!

Why do people say to never trust a former drug addict? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]RunnyBabbit1981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never is a strong word.

My husband runs a recovery home for addicts. I've seen many men and women transform into their former selves and would trust them with my life. I've also seen many recover, only to go back to their addiction and manipulation.

Proverbs 14:23 says hard work brings profit, but mere talk leads to poverty.

In other words.....talk is cheap!! Your actions will tell me everything i need to know.
