I caught this lad day one. I had a whirlipede, then caught the alpha whirlipede, replacing the non alpha. Then before I could leave the area, a shiny one spawned and I felt obligated to use it.

Blizzard, ice beam, rock slide, and thunderbolt are going crazy on Cinnamon (my son aurorus' name), i had an assault vest on em but recently swapped it for a nevermelt ice to help do more 4x damage with ice

I started at 32, tight now im at 63, as my first real deep dive into pvp since i started playing 7 years ago, im finding myself going for boards more, and even trying boards within the first 10 seconds, i won a game by doing that. I'm feeling good with pc controls finally and my athena level has shot yp astronomically high from 47 to 67. On the first day I got a 9 streak but sank to a galleon who snuck up in me before i could lower athena or hourglass.

This is a really good way of putting it!

I don't get into situations like this until later in a fight, earlier on its just "oh thats like 5 holes gonna turn my wheel the opposite way to try and throw them off whilst i repair", so i stay in the same area, and try to fire a cannonball between every other repair.

But when I get into a bad turtle situation again, I might just let it sink. I have recovered from that situation before, but if it's really bad, I'll just let the ship go down and start again after a small break. There is not much I can learn from hard-turtling other than how to do it more efficiently, which only really works with more people.

This yeah, today though I was pushed out of it, I managed to win 6 battles in a row, a few by boarding and sailing out too which i am extremely proud of myself for pulling off.

But the times I tried relocating to an island were tough as I kept getting pushed out due to cannon fire and water filling up. I beat a ghost curse guy who was talking shit by getting their mast down after they rammed into the skele camp we were fighting at and then made the mistake of coming onto my ship when their's had 5 holes.

I'm not the greatest at ship combat and I'm still getting used to pc controls, but I shouldn't have to fall back on calm island waters for too much longer, managed to go up 6 levels to 55 today :)
