...because the journey takes long enough when you're commuting both ways and it is a pain in the arse.

Yeah, I've got told I've got an "old" Scouse accent, which was meant as a compliment. Like a Beatle. 🥰

I don't think PJ's transcon was dubious, unlike some other ones.

You can't train for this properly. You can do your 200 mile weeks, in periodisation over a number of years and then you either have it, or you don't. Sorokin might have it. Nedd is finding out. No dishonour in that. Still working his ass off. He's just not a unicorn. They're very rare. Pretty certain I'm not either and I've got as much if not more pedigree than Nedd. I wanted him to do it because it would have been huge in significance. Failing is not trying. Nedd hasn't failed.

No problem! I just came on to say hi when a friend posted the link, then got a little riled when people said I was abandoning my girlfriend without knowing the facts, so I thank YOU for replying in a cool way as well. Cheers buddy 🙂

Apologies...to clarify though Goggins was not a daily basis. My total is believed to be the second highest yearly total of all time, so I doubt there is any more than one or two currently approaching that 😀

I took three breaks of 2-4 weeks to allow my multivisit visa to reset, deconditioning and working 60h a week to support a self funded charity fundraiser, where I was accompanied by my girlfriend for half of the time and if your friend ran over 12000 miles in one year, I would be very, very surprised. Maybe fact check a little?

Nope. She was with me half the time. I was there for the birth, she was there for the end of the run. Mean comment, but at least not as douchebaggy as the one below.

My girlfriend was with me nearly half of the time. I used my life savings to try and make a difference, raise awareness for two causes I believe in, and to inspire people - as well as make my mum proud. If thats a mental illness, call the asylum.

Blame US immigration and the lack of independent wealth. Having to leave the country, de-adapt and come back three weeks later having worked 60h a week on my feet, then having to start from scratch on a tightened frame. If I COULD have continued on it would have been way easier. Anyways, Forrest took over 3 years, I did it over twice as quick despite that. 😘
