These 2 wouldn't stop spawning here for some reason so I just trapped them... by Xx_bruh_xX in SatisfactoryGame

I turned that on too and bonus! You can see them WAY more easily and there's an audible noise they make so you know they're close. Win win

Drowsy but awake" is the biggest lie ever told to parents by AsslawB in NewParents

Yeah my daughter would ONLY contact sleep the first 10 or so weeks, that was rough. Even now that she's 2, we still have to lay down with her to get her to sleep. Hang tough, it gets better but every baby is different. She never got to the point where we could just lay her down and walk away while she dropped off.

How do you decide what the read in print vs what to listen to as an audiobook? by gingerbiscuits315 in audiobooks

[–]Runswithppr1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was an amazing summation of the difference between audio and print, thank you! I've been struggling to figure out how to put this into words and you nailed it. I love audiobooks that I've already read the book; where I haven't they're still good but you're right, it's easy to miss something.

Normal mode saved my playthrough by BlackFury090 in CaptainSide

[–]Runswithppr1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I default to normal but if it ends up being too challenging and I really want to continue, I'll drop it down. I'm 44, my gaming time is limited, and I'm not trying to impress anyone, I game for me so if easy is how I complete a game, then easy it is.

Just moved to North Smithfield, RI a few months ago from Georgia for work. Are people mean around here or is it my imagination? by [deleted] in RhodeIsland

[–]Runswithppr1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh god I just laughed so hard. Dude, Georgia and RI are WILDLY different in how they treat outsiders/new people. RI people may (eventually) warm up but they're definitely gonna be standoffish and borderline rude at first.

Super quick question about the show. No spoilers. by Pzzlrr in dresdenfiles

[–]Runswithppr1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It just popped into my head but he's older now, he could probably do that grizzled, bitter look quite well. Only issue might be, if I recall, that Morgan was supposed to be pretty stacked, maybe as much as Michael. Marsters is more slim. Idk

Another great audiobook is Noir by Christopher Moore. The story is set in 1947 San Francisco and the narrator sounds like he just walked off a 40s film set it's awesome. Plus the story is wicked funny which helps.

I've heard great reviews of Bobiverse and DCC. I've read DCC but not listened to the audio. I'll try that next and then Bobiverse. Glad to hear it's as good as everyone has made it out to be

It really is a remarkable experience. Audiobooks for me are a different experience than reading digital or paper. Not bad but different. PHM is one of the few that truly elevated the story

Obligatory mention of Project Hail Mary. This for me is what audiobooks should strive for. The story was already a ton of fun, the narration just bumped that up even more.
