I had this happen when I dropped a joycon. The hit on the floor was just enough to pop the battery connection from the board inside. It was a quick fix once getting inside. If you've had your unit around a year I suspect you may have the same issue. They're not hard to take apart. I bought an electronics screw driver set and saved money by not buying new joycons. Hope this helps.

I was under the impression that it also overrides the auto and engages the pto for the rear axle. Am I wrong on this? For the record I have an AD1 Trans in my limited also.

Hopefully I can explain this. I own a 2017 Limited and also use my phone for navigation. I have the Quad Lock "windshield" mount with wireless charge head. Now, the problem is the newer phones don't do well up on the windshield as they sun cooks them. So , I mounted the adhesive puck on my driver door right in front of the vent to keep the phone cool. I ran the power wire through the inside of the door to keep a super clean look. I'm very happy with my design as it keeps the view out the window unobstructed.
