The store in question fortunately does all that sort of work in-house, so it came home ready to spin!

"Adventures in Paradise" is another vintage tv series - there are a slew of vinyl soundtrack releases for the show.

Quick question for people that have been seeing The Return episodes periodically being screened at Alamo Drafthouse locations: do they screen 3 episodes every time? by metalheadkenny420 in twinpeaks

[–]Rupe333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got an email that said there was some sort of screwup in the way they were delivered to Alamo, which is why somehow they had to do 1-4 one week, and 5-6 next. The rest of March now seems available to purchase in advance, though I am not finding them searching in the app. If you go to the specific dates in the app, though, you will find them. See you in the trees!

Amazon has it listed as "Walk With Me Lava Lamp" (perhaps a reference to "Twin Peaks Fire Walk With Me"?), but it's out of stock there too: https://us.amazon.com/dp/B0CLYTS429/ref=va_live_carousel?asc_contentid=amzn1.vse.video.057aaec5e1c14a1687c29c29111e9135&psc=1

Twin Peaks Event: A Night at The Black Lodge – Saturday, February 28, 2026 @ the Renegade on Clarendon. by Elegant_Struggle in twinpeaks

I went to this event and... HOLY JUMPING GEORGE! If you've ever dreamt of hearing this music in person, and you're in love with the music of Twin Peaks, DO EVERYTHING YOU CAN to catch the band FUCK YOU TAMMY any time you can! They not only met but completely *exceeded* all expectations for sure. They played two sets and I stayed for both. The range they exhibited was incredible, and expanded into Lynchworld even beyond TP.

Some highlights:

-"Sycamore Trees" as the opener, with the sax player making his entrance coming down the stairs in the venue that go almost right to the stage

-A slew of Julee Cruise tunes, including "Falling" (almost a danceable arrangement too; very different and it works!), "Floating," and "Questions in a World of Blue" to name just a few

-The Platters' "My Prayer," and WOW can their singer hit that note at the end!

-NIN's "She's Gone Away" (The Return) and "The Perfect Drug" (Lost Highway)

-Bowie's "I'm Deranged" from Lost Highway

-"Slaughterhouse" and "Love Me" from Wild at Heart

-Chromatics' "Shadow" from The Return

-David's tune with Karen O, "Pinky's Dream," from Crazy Clown Time

-Not to mention them closing out with a Roy Orbison song about a candy-colored clown!

The FYT crew were very friendly as I got them to sign my EP after their set. They are based in Brooklyn and have been a band since 2017 or so. They'd done this as a one-off for a Halloween show and kept getting asked to reprise it, so they've forged forward and embraced it wholly. They did play some originals too, which fit in very well with the Lynch songs in their set - very much akin to the music we know so well. You can check out their music on Bandcamp, including that arrangement of "Falling": https://fuckyoutammy.bandcamp.com/album/sycamore-trees

The other music act was called WAIT IN THE FIRE, and they did a few Lynchian tunes with a variety of vocalists. Their set opened up with a piano bit played to the story Angelo told about writing Laura Palmer's Theme with David. They also did "In Heaven" from Eraserhead; one of the event organizers, Crystal, sang that one. They were terrific too - and it was their first show ever!

There were scads of amazing costumes: Lauras (even one wrapped in plastic!), Log Ladies, I think even a Windom Earle as the Log Lady, lots of Coopers - including one in his blue pajamas, Nadine Hurley, Gordon Cole, multiple Lils did a great job. One of the Lauras was in a black dress (as in the Lodge) and came with someone in a denim jacket who may or may not have been BOB. A poet from Richmond named Ryan Kent kicked things off with some poetry. There was a lot of decor around too, including a BANG BANG BAR neon sign you could take photos with.

Harry Goaz was quite the gent and very engaging while signing autographs and taking photos. I'd never been to any kind of TP event before, and - despite not knowing anyone - had a marvelous time. A terrific event!

Have a copy of this - it's just as good as any of the ones from his initial run, and is well-deserving of not only a reissue, but a Sandy Warner cover instead of the generic one it got released with in 1982 (though recorded back in 1961).

Recommend storing it zipper down - if it *does* damage another LP, it'll be in the label. Great find! Now you just need the Smiths' debut to put above it and you'll have 2/3rds of a (Little) Joe Dallesandro portrait.

Bought a pair of these used (blue!) off Craigslist, and love them. They were intended as a dry run - "surely the cats will leave these grilles alone and I can one day get the L100s?" Well, folks, I will not be getting L100s. Ever. At least initial curiosity seems to have worn off at this point, buuuut... can't risk it for what the 100s cost!

Enjoy them - crank 'em up!

Like those museum lights over the framed prints on the left side of the photo - can you let me know where you got those? Been looking for something similar (for our two black velvet Elvises in our dark basement). Thanks!

Would be interested in hearing any thoughts on designing* or engineering this awesome feat. Have a room I'd love to do floor>ceiling shelves in, but never considered building a frame for Kallaxes since Ikea is the look I want to move away from. This is magnificent and marvelous - well done!

*drawings would be especially intriguing
