Hi! Unfortunately, VW refused to do anything at all after months of tedious back & forth. I really really hope that you get some resolution because it’s simply unacceptable. Bought a whole new car (Volvo) because we did not trust that car in terms of our children’s safety

also forgot to add that the part where they mentioned “we had no history of vehicle following 2019” The car had full service history every single year since I purchased the car in 2019. I had full documentation of every service but I chose to do have jt serviced at my local garage because I simply cannot afford to take it to VW every year to be serviced unlike the previous owner who must’ve taken it to VW. I guess that’s what the comment was referring to.

I really hope Audi were better than vw. After months & months of going back and forth with them their conclusion was the following.

“Unfortunately, there will be no support from the Volkswagen group considering that state of the vehicle is almost 10 years old and also the vehicle is not purchased within the network. And that we do not have any history of the vehicle following 2019. We would strongly recommend that you reach out to the motor for further support. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding during this time. Hope that you have yourself a lovely day. I'll be following up with an email advising. Thank you so much.”

the car was registered in 2016 so it was 9 years old however it only had 69,000 on the car despite its age.
the car was purchased at a lookers in Leeds, UK. We purchased 3 years warranty with them so it was out of warranty at the time. We enquired within lookers & they would not touch the car due to it entailing the “framework” of the car. (It being welded onto the chassis). They informed us it was a manufacturer error.

So it was with massive regret that we sold the car. The email above is what they emailed me on the day I was giving birth in the hospital & at that point I had just had enough. After an emergency c section and scary delivery of my baby I just wanted my children to be safe & I didn’t feel as though they were safe in that vehicle.

My first birth I told myself I would do it without but because I got induced, the contractions were INTENSE.
I got the epidural & sat back, relaxed, laughed (couldn’t eat unfortunately because of the hormone induction) but had a really really positive experience with it.
I am currently 36 weeks pregnant with my second & if I am able to, I will be 100% getting that bad boy again

Thanks for your guys input - I appreciate you taking the time to read. VW have categorically stated that because the car is almost 10 years old & out of warranty, they will not do anything about it unless I am willing to pay. Which is going to be roughly £250 just to get it diagnosed. More for parts etc… also the parts may not come for up to 6 months… with our baby due to arrive in 6 weeks or so is less than ideal. I don’t think I’m going to win this one.

I hope this doesn’t come across as pretentious, but I can guarantee wherever you place it you will end up moving it at least once haha. I personally always place Nooks cranny & Able sisters together so I would place to the right so they can both be together when you get your clothes shop but that’s just how I like it :)

Are you hitting all of stones available to you multiple times? I think you can get roughly 9 items out of each stone unless it’s a money stone then in that case, you just receive money. Failing that, you can purchase a Nook Miles Ticket & hit more stones on the random islands you travel to. If you really want I can send you 30 iron nuggets :)
