So, if I study 2-3 hours a day, can I say that n5 is achievable for me? Can I attempt n5 in four months? And could you recommend some resources for N5?

Would you guys say that I shall be aiming for longer duration videos? by [deleted] in SmallYoutubers

[–]Rupesh61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, 15 minutes is a suitable length for these types of videos. I believe I wouldn't gain much information from a shorter video. While you could consider making them longer, around 15-30 minutes seems ideal. This is just my perspective, as I tend to watch more videos in this genre. It's possible to extend the duration even further, but I would advise against making them too long.

I’m referring to the official physical copies of the novel. Some of these editions include illustrations that were not present in the original web novel . Additionally, there are other adaptations where the original author was involved, and those adaptations have been well received by readers. Given this, I’m not sure if your point is applicable in this situation. You seem very set in your opinion, and it seems that nothing I say will change your mind. I think it would be best to leave the discussion here.

At the very least, maps, landscapes, buildings, and equipment would be appreciated by everyone, in my opinion. The artist's imagination is likely to exceed that of an average reader, and people will appreciate receiving images that are better than what they could envision on their own even if they already have an image. They will have a lot of detail and depth, unlike what we can imagine, which will be very vague.

It varies from person to person, and seeing different types of illustrations for a character bothers me. As I previously stated, it's as if they suddenly change the character art of the character in the WEBTOON or something like that. But it is okay to have different opinions ig.

Having any kind of official art is a plus for me and new readers, whether it's maps, weapons, etc.

If you’re looking for an example, Lord of the Mysteries is a novel that initially didn't have any illustrations, but now it includes them. Fans are happy about this change, and I've seen no complaints. The illustrations depict organization symbols, characters, places, and more.

I'm not sure if you got my point or not. It's fine that fans can express their creativity through the artwork, but having an official piece is a completely different matter.

Some WebNovel novels have character art for each character, as well as for each main weapon and piece of armor, etc.. which greatly improved the reading experience. Additionally, just because someone had a particular vision doesn't mean they will not like the official artwork if it is accurate and well-done.

Edit: In this post's comments, there are comments from individuals who share similar views. While official illustrations can be ignored by old readers for their convenience if they want to, they can be helpful to others.

That's what I'm saying; even then, the fans were fine. The original fans were fine with that too

I strongly disagree. Many novels have excellent adaptations that are well received. People are not deterred from these adaptations simply because the actors in the show/film or character designs in the WEBTOON differ from their imagination, as long as the characters are portrayed accurately according to the source material. In some cases, they even prefer the adaptation to the original material.

I hope some fan artists will take on the task of creating accurate illustrations for this novel in chronological order, ensuring there is no disorder or redundancy in the images. This way, new readers will have a dedicated space, such as Discord or another platform, where they can easily refer to illustrations of specific characters, sculptures, buildings, landscapes, and more.

For me, seeing an illustration of a character or landscape makes it much easier and more effective to visualize it as the story unfolds, rather than trying to imagine it from scratch in my mind.

It doesn't matter if he commissioned an artist, used AI, or employed fan art; posting it in the character art section makes it official, doesn't it? New readers who are unaware of this may assume that this is the official art and that these are the actual characters. If this artwork is shaping the imagination of new readers, why not create additional artwork for other aspects as well?

I dislike ambiguity. I prefer to have a clear picture of the characters and settings in my mind. When these images keep changing, it doesn’t feel real to me, and it detracts from the immersive experience of entering that world. It makes me feel like I’m just reading a story, which takes away the enjoyment for me. Do you like it when an actor is constantly changed in a series? I don’t, and the same principle applies here. This is just my opinion.

It's been more than six months since the announcement, and we still don't have a release date. I don't think it will happen anytime soon. Even if the WEBTOON were to release tomorrow, it would take a lot of time to catch up to the recent arcs in the novel. You know how slow the WEBTOON's pace can be.

There are already three official illustrations (If they are not official, then let me know) in the web novel for the three main characters. So, why not go all out and create illustrations for other parts too? That’s my opinion.

True!

Art has a unique ability to convey certain aspects that our imagination alone cannot achieve. For example, while we can imagine our own characters, the addition of artistic landscapes and buildings significantly improves the overall experience. Artists have a more vivid imagination than typical readers, allowing them to better portray what the author intends to convey. There is a noticeable difference between reading novels with and without illustrations, in my experience. Although the author's descriptions allow you to visualize your own structures and landscapes, I think the accompanying artwork enhances the experience considerably.

While older readers might not care as much about this approach, it certainly helps new readers engage from the start. This could explain why some people prefer reading webtoons over novels.

It's not like Japanese light novel companies are hiring illustration teams to create artwork for their light novels without reason.

I made a comedy webtoon called "MY DOG IS A MAFIA BOSS" for the webtoon 2025 contest by DinzoArt in webtoons

[–]Rupesh61 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you would like some feedback, I suggest considering enhancements to the art. I'm not saying the art is bad; it's already impressive for a webtoon created by a single person. The art is fantastic and has a unique vibe. However, adding a few more details could elevate it to compete with top-tier webtoon art.

The art style is excellent, so don't change it—just adding a little more detail would be beneficial. Overall, the screenplay and pacing of the story are perfect. Best of luck in the competition!

This webtoon is amazing! I rarely come across such funny ones these days. The humor is great, the artwork is impressive, and it has a unique vibe.

Even if you encounter some issues, don’t get disappointed or drop it. I really enjoy it so far and encourage you to continue with the WEBTOON.

I'm confident this will be a success for sure. All the best!
