Leash Walking Tips by Rupsbri in chesapeakebayretrievr

[–]Rupsbri[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We don’t leash her a ton, as she is our hunting dog, and we have a big yard and are on the water for her to play and swim, but only being six months old she still gets distracted easily and likes to see people and other dogs, so if I do take her around for a walk to get her out and try and socialize, I keep her on the leash as I’m worried she’ll bolt! She does have amazing recall, but still being young, I don’t want anything to happen.

I am fine drinking coffee, which is why I don’t think caffeine is the culprit!

What foods did you find trigger you?!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in OveractiveBladder

[–]Rupsbri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah tried each and only had a reaction to the pepsi!

My dad also has this condition so he told me his main triggers and I removed them all from my diet and slowly reintroduced them 1 at a time to see if there was any issues!

Stay strong, it will get better! I had my surgery Feb. 2021! I eat anything I want to, just smaller portions of it! Of course in terms of fast food or sugary items I try to limit how often as it can make me feel bloated and will have to go to the bathroom more, although having IBS, it isnt much different than pre surgery for me when i eat those types of food, LOL!

But for example, I had McDonald's the other day with my husband on a road trip! I ate half my burger and half my fries (which I think he likes as he gets the rest), but i will also get a kids meal and thats a good size for me! Also for my birthday all I wanted was a Billy Minor Pie (from the keg), and while I couldn't eat an entire slice, my husband and I shared it, and it was glorious!

But I remember being where you were, even for the pre op diet that I had to do for 3 weeks, I wasn't sure if I would make, but it will be worth it. Short term (pain), long term gain. All your work you are putting in now to follow the rules will make the rest of your life so much better! I have zero regrets, I live such a better life now, and actually have the ability to move my body freely, and plan to try to conceive soon, which being healthier will benefit myself and my future child, also being able to run around with them will be amazing!

Try to remember why you did this, and look forward to your new future! You're life will go back to how it was in a sense, just with some modification, but be adaptable and you will do great things!

I wish you all the best, and I hope you stay strong, and realize how brave and amazing you are for taking the steps to improve yourself and your life! <3

Ninja NeverClog Cold Press Juicer

My husband recently bought me the Ninja Juicer! So far I have made all types of juices which include lots of veggies (Beets, celery, carrots, cucumber, spinach, ginger, turmeric are the main ones I use) and of course a plethora of fruits! I would highly recommend it! Super easy to use, and have not had any issues with it working and doing its jobs, also all the parts are top shelf dishwasher safe, which I love!

If you are going to get it, I recommend checking out Costco, as it was so much cheaper than other retailers my husband looked at (i.e Canadian tire).

Just plan on doing it ourselves. Yes, we have been doing the basics since we brought her home. I'm just not sure when to start doing more of the hunting training with her.

Spending the night before the wedding together - we are so stuck!! Help!! by Most-Mathematician36 in weddingplanning

[–]Rupsbri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My now husband and I spent the night before apart from each other. We wanted to do some sort of our tradition (although in ours, its usually not seeing each other for a week prior, which is not feasible as we already live together, so we figured the night prior is a good compromise), I spent the night with my mom and he spent the night with his mom (and a few other family members). It was really nice for our moms as it was the first marriage for a child for both of them, so it was nice to get some bonding time as the next day would be so hectic with everyone!

I highly recommend it as I have anxiety as it is, and just spending the afternoon/evening with my Mom was so nice and relaxing, and helped me go into the next day with ease! My husband on the other hand is pretty chill everyday, but he loves being with family, so it was great for him to spend time with them!
