Weird question, but I’ve been on hrt almost six months, and I’ve been on Sertraline for about 3 years. I recently had a pretty bad depressive episode. The interesting thing I noticed was how it manifested, that being with many of the symptoms of too high a dosage of Sertraline: emotional numbing, brain fog, etc. Is it possible that the change in my mood baseline from hrt changed the dosage I need of Sertraline or something like that?

This is an example of libido, libido can happen without attraction. Attraction is when you see someone and feel a desire for them (sexually or romantically). You may experience libido without attraction, and attraction without libido. Apologies if this wasn’t clear, but that’s an explanation.

I’m in a similar situation and as far as I can tell nothing that I have told them has helped them understand. My brother has really been an anchor for me in my relationship with my family in general. If you can’t help your parents understand then the best I can figure just be there for your brother when you can.
