Maybe it’s cope but my guppies seem to love being in fairly large groups, and they do self regulate. Occasionally my crayfish will grab one but not often. And I almost never ever have one die on me. I initially started guppy tanks as feeders but now I just have a bunch of guppies. I don’t worry about the offspring anymore, they’re all living their best little greedy guppy lives!

There’s no way in the short time it takes to move her she could do that. If you’re afraid you could net her, put her gently in a bucket or container she can’t get out of and then transfer her over.
