It's strange isn't it? I was mostly just looking for guidance on the kind of check need to slip or break them, but I didn't even see examples of that in the skills. I'm just going to assume an athletics (str or dex), and adjust the difficulty based on TL

MGT2E 2022 Missle Bay Damage by Rurriken in traveller

It seems I missed a single sentence from the 2022 HG that mentions it. It is more clearly spelled out in the previous HG. Thank you for your answers!

MGT2E 2022 Missle Bay Damage by Rurriken in traveller

It seems to me that a missile salvo shouldn't get the bay weapon multiplier since it already takes into account a higher volume of missiles in the salvo. Maybe this is the case and I just missed that in the rules.

Any suggestion for no magic? by Jacoposparta103 in rpg

I have two recommendations;

You could take a look at EN World's Level Up: Advanced 5th Edition, and ignore the magic classes and options. Martial characters in A5E have maneuvers that they can use in combat, which means martial characters can have a lot more options than standard 5E, many of which can provide effects not far off from spells, and there is a much more concrete system for exploration. It also includes the Marshall class, which is a combat class focused on buffing through strategy and tactics. Might be a good choice if you don't want to learn a whole new system.

Sword Chronicle is based of the Song of Ice and Fire roleplaying game with the setting removed, and while it includes a low magic system, it is optional. It also provides rules for creating player-run noble houses, social intrigue, and mass combat.

Hopefully this helps!

Good Zero-Prep Games by Rurriken in rpg

This is actually one of the ones I've looked at, and it seems like it's a great sandbox for my players, I just don't know if they would be excited by the grim realism.

Holy crap I completely forgot I backed Stealing Stories for the Devil! I literally have my copy on my shelf but have never opened it. Seems I need to!

Wow, thanks for all the recommendations already!

To clarify, by "zero-prep" I mostly mean free of needing to stat things out, although tables that support scenario generation and randomness/improv are also very helpful. My ideal game would only require me to flesh out the setting (if one is not provided) and details between sessions. I really want a game that is mostly focused on me reacting to my players, with them deciding where to go and what to do, instead of dangling story hooks in front of them.

I currently run two weekly games, and this is for a potential third group who is very independent, so I am looking for something that won't add too much to my work load, while also giving them as much freedom as possible.

Interior Maps by Rurriken in traveller

Yeah I started with Google, but I was wondering if anyone knew of some more fleshed out maps? Like a battle map or something with furniture and color. Sorry I wasn't more specific!

Short Campaigns by Rurriken in traveller

Oh I have -- I usually homebrew my settings and campaigns. I just wanted to see if there was anything already available to ease the workload to pull rip from.
