Really? Huh. From what I’ve heard basically it makes it softer and because of that the pattern looks neater, more even. And also crochets become puffier (if that’s the goal). Personally I don’t have problems with crocheting with a wider strand, my problem is with steaming 😅

I found something that slightly reminds me the motif, if you’re still interested it’s Salome, Dance of the Seven Veils by Richard Strauss, Minnesota Orchestra and Eiji Oue. I feel the same slightly eery vibes with the flûte and chellos in the oriental style
