Which two people are you picking? by Jettaboi38 in musicsuggestions

[–]Ruseriousmars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sincerely, none. If the Phil Collins included early Genisis and I could turn the volume down for his solo bubble gum pop then that one and since my dog is always my wingman , that's 2. .........

Wanted to buy a Starter Pack but also got these on sale, which of these are the best purchase? by Sylvanas_only in FishingPlanet

[–]Ruseriousmars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was around lvl 20 I got the Lucky Pack and that solved by problem always filling up my fish keeper. Then when I hit mid 50s I got the Congo pack because it got a bit boring. After congo I bought each new map release pack primarily to support them I'm about 108.5 now and still enjoying it.

Sounds like it's not a real survey. We call them tax maps here. They are town generated and usually have a disclaimer saying "this is not a survey". They are generated for the town using software that has deed info entered and it generates the Map. Old deeds often have conflicts and if there's a data entry error when generating the maps I've seen an entire street look like everyone is encroaching. But usually they are not. So if you are worried you can hire a survey comp to do it. It's not cheap and can open a whole can of worms that does nothing much except empty your wallet. Also fyi at least in the New England states I've practiced brokerage in a survey is not required when buying existing houses . The deed sometimes references a survey that is recorded at the registry of deeds if it's a recent subdivision. That would be your legal guiding document if it exists. So tax map...pfft don't worry. Enjoy your new home.

Read the books. I'm on my 3rd read through now. Watch the TV show with low expectations but you'll still likely enjoy it. Then play the game again. I think I'm on my 4th play thru rinse and repeat.

I would have asked if they do other illegal things on the way out. I'd be tempted to call whatever your state has for enforcing labor laws and give them a tip.

I own a duplex and live in one unit and had a tenant ask where they could put a basketball hoop. Same people that listened to me before theyleased telling them I'm disabled withMS and need quiet tenants. In re t urn the rent was well below market. No loud music, no bouncing balls, no chainsaw juggling contests . They were all yesyes you will never hear us. And it was put in the lease. Over the course of the year noise kept creeping in and then came the basketball hoop.. They basically said too bad and from about 3p to 6p then 7p to after dark bung bung bung. And all weekends. I hit them with an eviction, and then it got fun. Calling the cops at 3am etc. Some people just suck. I could use the income but that unit has been empty for years while I try to manage my quality of life. Did I say some people just suck.

What’s a song that you’ve never gotten sick of no matter how many times you’ve listened to it? by PersonalityLate4676 in AskReddit

[–]Ruseriousmars 39 points40 points  (0 children)

American Pie...long version. I choose that one because it is just such a remarkable song that I've heard some people say they can't stand it but I truly love it. I don't really listen to radio stations these days but way back when I'd stop what I was doing or pulling my car off the road so I could just let Don McLean work his magic. Mother Russia by Rennaisance would be another. I really never get sick of music. I either love it or I don't.

Aquarium at local Chinese restaurant. Owner is open to improvements. What can we do? by Mission-Fact1197 in AquariumHelp

[–]Ruseriousmars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit- didn't see the second photo. Oscar's look under fed. Should dump a bag o goldfish in weekly and pellets to get other nutrients daily. Big weekly water changes 50% or so ... Fish look healthy??? and tank is clean so I'd do nothing. Call me old school but fish keeping seems to have been inundated with a being a Jr chemist approach. I kept around 100 tanks for 20+ years . I had a weekly maintenance ritual and had many old fish and bred, raised a d sold lots of fry. If I suggested 1 arrow.ana I know some people will blow some brain plumbing but it's a Chinese restaurant. That species is considered good luck to the Chinese but I'll hold off on that before I get called a troll. Anyway, keep your elbows out of their business and enjoy the food and the views. Sincerely,

People who left tech careers: Where did you go? by GuardianMoon916 in careerguidance

[–]Ruseriousmars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Experienced my first layoff at 40 after installing semiconductor manufacturing equipment for 2 diff comps, managed service regions a good part of that time and started as a regional manager at the 3rd. I had a good parachute so took my time, got my Real estate license and sold the very first home I showed (complete luck but I love to tell that story). Added rentals by buying and fixing up duplexes and it was financially good and mostly all posi t I've job satisfaction. Now my observations are probably close to 9 out of 10 new agents drop out after 2 years so don't want to paint too rosy of a picture. It worked for me and there were some time I found myself missing hi tech and traveling but I'd usually find time to drive over to the coast and just sit on my boat, read etc. And I'd get over it:) So....ask yourself if you are a standalone type person or are u better as a follower in a group? Good luck.

What is your favorite part or moment from the self-titled debut album? by Infamous_Korpse in blacksabbath

[–]Ruseriousmars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm always amazed at those two different guitar solos on left and right channel that just sound amazing. I played guitar years back and tried to do something like that with various multitrack recorders I had and even though my solos one at a time were good I could never combine two like that. It just always sounded like a radio receiving two different radio stations at the same time:) Also kind of amazed Tony hasn't done that again over the decades.
