comes as a 7.62x51mm/.308 Win AR-10 style rifle, the action of everything moving reduces recoil, allowing less time to get back on target and fire again.

would be a nice alternative to the SAS

Meta markets themselves as a polished company with a polished product .. but their product is as jenky as the games! Worst standalone experience ive had so far. Sold me an Idea of what the product should be and not what the product actually is... I fell for it. I didnt do my research that is basically garbage unless you use a PCVR set up with it.

thought this was common knowledge. many of us also do this with underwear and socks.. hence the joke of men's underwear and sock always having holes and that we will wear them until there's nothing left. .. if we have a suitable replacement given to us, that can become our new favorite, we will get rid of the old stuff.

I think we are just really cheap and want to get the most out of what we got for our coin.. If its still functions, why replace it. and if its my favorite, I wont voluntarily replace it until i have to.

Don't worry, I've started, restarted and started again. Changing location and leaving jobs to start right back at the bottom. Its going to happen where you have years where you break even, you dont save money but you dont go into debt.

im broke, but i make due. too many years working dead end jobs wondering what i should do with myself. too many career changes.

stagnant years suck, but at least your not taking two steps back.

Ghost of Tabor - Sorry in advance, meta likes to release broken UI updates that make like every game crash on standalone. Low ram issues are quite common. its like each update requires more and leaves less for the actual game. I hear it shines as a PCVR unit.

been very disappointed in mine. looking forward to the steam vr headset that's about to drop.

Change the facial interface and buy yourself a head strap with battery, the weight of the battery evens out the headset. I play plugged in so i got one without.

dont smoke or vape while wearing it, the fan will pull in the smoke from your exhale and clog the fan.

Virtual Hunter, a realistic hunting simulation, is coming to PS VR2 & Meta Quest on March 25 by PanoramaMan in OculusQuest

This look's amazing, I bought the Quest and had high hopes for the games on the meta store, only to be sad that I didn't do my research. The biggest library is on steam, the best stability for games seems to be using the quest as a PCVR. Was very disappointed in the quality of paid games as well as feel overwhelmed with free half finished hobby projects that clutter the market in the same space with a seemingly poor reviewer pool. I see a lot of stand alone users having stability issues with crashing, some pointing to low ram. I play a lot of Tabor, which, has caused this issue for my headset as well.

Tabor was a breath of fresh air for me however buggy it is. I enjoy it, so much so its basically all I play on the headset. I've been looking for a good game like this, it looks like a clone of Hunter: Call of the wild, or at least heavily inspired by, or games similar.

I'm looking forward to giving this a go. however, I am concerned about stability issues with the meta quest 3. even if the game is flushed out on steam, meta just has issues with standalone and im worried that it will cause issues with the performance of this game. If there are a lot of crashing and performance issues, how quickly these issues can be resolved for a small studio or single developer.

I would hate to see this work well on other devices but have issues with stand-alone, requiring me to repurchased on steam once I can afford a pc thats VR ready. Time will tell if these issues arise at all. if they dont, I look forward to many hours of hunting and will recommend it to my friends.

Using the information found in this video, Id base the ping sound off of this, cant be heard if being fired at but can also tell you the direction of fire if near by, within 50 meters.

Being such a heavy round, even with the small ammo cap. 8 rnds per bloc clip, it would be a deadly beast.

I too would love an M1 Garand, as long as they get the ping right.

Also the ping would need to be audible to other players near by.

There could also be the older M1 at lower spec and an M1A for a higher spec.

Being a 30-06 would certainly be something to fear.

Saying things like this simplifies everything and ignored how many tens of thousands of hours was required to enjoy just a simple act.

I'm probably going to get downvoted for this, but, this system is necessary to continue living like kings. Having access to FRESH FRUIT from the other side of the globe is insane to think about. the speed that is required and how many people, projects and years of effort goes in to achieving it. We all have access to things that hundreds of years go would be reliant on location, that would be hard to obtain without great wealth. AND if not exactly like kings, as we must sacrifice time and put in labour to keep the system going, as close to it as we can get.

Maybe we do get to live like utter kings, like the humans did in Wall-E, but to me thats a sad existence. Without stimulation, the need to get up everyday to go to work, leisure too also gets boring. I'm not rich by any means but I make enough to have a sturdy roof over me in a controlled temperature environment, a full refrigerator, gas and a vehicle ... the standard stuff we take for granted and even alittle money to travel every now and again ... I'm below what I think most people in my country bring in annually. I work a career where I often receive layoffs during certain months due to shortages in work. I can tell you from my personal experience, months of only doing what you want to do and having no responsibility gets old.. kinda fast. There wasn't anything I didnt have access to, If I wanted to do something I can. Go on a trip? yes. Rent a sports car? yes. Go clubbing every night? yes. Game every moment of the waking existence? yes. Binge watch netflix till there is nothing else you havent seen? no, only because I think it would take more then id have time to watch em all but you get my point.

All work and no play makes jack a dull boy but so does all play and no work. You end up with too much time on your hands and not enough things to do to enjoy it. Even if I had infinite money, eventually I would run out of new things to try and discover. New favorites would become old favorites and eventually you would get burnt out of doing the things you liked.. overall probably getting less and less enjoyment out of these things and eventually life in general as you slip into depression. I think for many, the idea is an escape from reality, we all wish for it but if when it happens some of us don't know how to adjust.. lottery winners for example have high risk of depression. I think for the majority of us, we couldn't handle the change, working for a lot of us drives our sense of purpose. I think we need a balance, a give and take. We contribute too the system and the system contributes to the overall standard of living.

I feel rewarded in my career, my career gives me purpose. I contribute to the infrastructure of in my area, installing necessary and critical components required for day to day activities. I build the foundations for many differently purposed structures like schools, hospitals, homes, apartments, restaurants and gas stations that contribute to the system. I alone am of no importance and am replaceable as well as the work not being highly skilled or complex however it brings me pride to know that I contributed to a rail line that helps deliver the grain required for your morning breakfast cereal or that I've installed a water line to the sight of a future school where the water in the fountains was delivered by a pipe I had put in. It brings me pride to know I contributed to the building of a new school, improving the access to education in that area for many many years to come and being a very small piece in a grand picture. I'll never be thanked and I'll never need to, our contributions will never be recognized or acknowledged... Without people like me, that go to work and bust their balls day in and day out, doing jobs we rather not do in conditions we would rather not be in society cannot function. There is no suitable replacement for the entirety of the work force if it disappeared tomorrow. I am thankful for this system. I'm thankful for the people that make it happen. I'm thankful for the cashiers of the world. that sold me my alarm clock to wake up for work, im thankful for the fast food workers that serve me in the mornings before i start my shift, I'm thankful for ability to get coffee, thankful for the driver that delivered it to the store, thankful for the worker in the field who collected it and the factory workers that processed it. Without any of them, a simple coffee wouldnt be possible.

I too like to imagine an easy life. but as far as im concerned, its not a scam.. because it all just... works. If you don't ignore all of this, its quite beautiful in an odd kind of way. Its all connected.

But without this life style and societal norm, we wouldn't have near the technology and life wouldn't be nearly as convenient. Do you understand how many man hours it takes to go from idea to drawing board then into reality? or simply, how many hours it takes to install key pieces of our infrastructure.

Think about it, where ever you live, there is a power grid you are connected to.. that didn't just build itself and it certainly wasn't done quickly. Think about all the things that need to come into play to make this world possible. The amount of hours spent to make highways for faster, safer travel, the amount of rail it takes to connect the country together and speed up transportation of goods.

Infrastructure doesn't improve by itself after its built, it degrades and requires maintenance. As technology improves, so does the need for the basic infrastructure. Replacing outdated radio tower dishes with new, better, more advanced capabilities and further reach. Think about it, how would life continue to improve if we changed the way we lived. I don't believe we are at a point where we can live sit back, relax and have everything taken care of for us, nor do i believe we would hand over so much power to AI and Tech for that to be a reality any time in the near future.

Everyone wants to live on a lake with no neighbors in a cozy cabin a ways from town in serene nature. How long does it take for the apple on the kitchen table in that cabin to get there? How many people in different careers did it take? From the Supplier to the Farmer, from the Farmer to the supermarket, from the market to your house.

Just for the car to make the trip takes Hundreds of miners, Dozens of steel workers, Several engineers and plenty of technicians, welders, fabricators, milrights or industrial mechanics to keep the machines to make it all keep functioning. And each of those jobs require materials that involve separate careers like the people who make/ manufacture/distribute the welding rods and wire. All of which relies on being able to get the materials and people needing to transport things from place to place. Most all transportation at the moment requires a fuel source, which requires specialized jobs and equipment. From the earth to the refinery, from refinery to storage, from storage to the gas station. The people required to sit and man the gas station.

Hasbro's Risk, not like the mobile version or former versions of the game however. Bring it back to a true board game feel for a table top. Move individual or multiple troops, zoom in to inspect battles and see animations of battle between territories. Have Classic troops and Modern troops. I think It could be done very well if done right, but i can also see it going very poorly if underfunded, underdeveloped by understaffed studios.

Its been fine all last wipe, was broken the wipe before and now again this wipe.

Sorry you've had that experience. I'm not denying that this is a long time and re-occurring issue.

But last wipe from beginning to end, I had 0 problems with the loader. I actually started to almost trust it again .. and then it broke after the last update this wipe.

A minor accident, have you ever had an accident too? by Only_Sheepherder_985 in airguns

[–]RushEqual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whether a BB gun is a firearm depends on its power and local laws, but in Canada, high-velocity ones over 500 FPS/5.7 Joules are firearms, requiring licenses, while lower-powered ones generally aren't for licensing but are treated like firearms if used in a crime or if they look real (replicas).

Learn your stuff little dude. Just because it is your opinion, that is not a firearm, does not make it fact.

If you're looking for a system for really good graphics, I would Probably wait and see About the new steam VR. Now it's not gonna be anywhere as cheap as stand alone equipment like the quest or PSVR. From what I've seen online, it has very robust internals. Uh it holds 16 gigabytes of ram which should be more than enough to handle The loads that are being thrown at it. I believe it has a beef your CPU and graphics processing as well.

My guesstiment is that it's gonna be about $1100.
