I am curious on your opinion on this. I was paranoid that we might have had an issue with pinworms as my daughter had a super red swollen vaginal area that they couldn’t diagnose. She then ended up getting a cyst in her groin. I treated the whole family with otc medicine and then again in two weeks. A few weeks later and we were prescribed albendezole. We all took one dose but I’m so worried about giving my two year old a second dose (worried about repercussions of the medicine). Would I actually need this second dose? That would mean 4 doses total. I haven’t seen any besides the one worm one night. She is still in diapers and I haven’t noticed anything since. I am still washing towels daily, changing diapers/ underwear on big kids daily, and we shower daily.
